Book Synopsis Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table by : Louie Giglio
Download or read book Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table written by Louie Giglio and published by Thomas Nelson. This book was released on 2021-05-11 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Louie Giglio helps you find encouragement, hope, and strength in the midst of any valley as you reject the enemy voices of fear, rage, lust, insecurity, anxiety, despair, temptation, or defeat. Scripture is clear: the Enemy is a liar who will stop at nothing to tempt you into poor decisions and self-defeating mindsets, making you feel afraid, angry, anxious, or defeated. It is all too easy for Satan to weasel his way into a seat at the table intended for only you and your King. But you can fight back. Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table outlines the ways to overcome those lies so you can find peace and security in any challenging circumstance or situation. With the same bold, exciting approach to Scripture as employed in Goliath Must Fall and his other previous works, pastor Louie Giglio examines Psalm 23 in fresh ways, highlighting verse 5: "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." You can find freedom from insecurity, temptation, and defeat--if you allow Jesus, the Shepherd, to lead the battle for your mind and heart. This spiritual warfare book for those who are leery of spiritual warfare books will resonate with Louie's core Passion tribe as well as with Christians of all ages who want to live a triumphant life in God.

Book Synopsis The Spirit Within by : Judith Dennis
Download or read book The Spirit Within written by Judith Dennis and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2009-11 with total page 62 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The spirit of the Lord that dwells inside of me (the author,) has allowed me by his wisdom to pen this poetry. I did not know that I could write such meaningful words, until the spirit of the Lord told me what to write and say. Thus began my journey into the world of poetry. This book is about God and His family. It is letting the readers know how they can take the word of the Lord God, Jesus Christ the anointed one and apply them to their everyday living. I know this might sound corny and a little bit square, but believe me it works, it has for me. It tells the reader how to let God into their lives and he will give them all the strength they need to overcome the wiles of the adversary. This book is about the understanding that I received from reading the scriptures of the Lord. They helped me tremendously in my personal life as well as my spiritual life. It is an interpretation of God's word. This book started out as just writings of my thoughts and meditations that I had during my journey to my lord. After I started attending church services on a regular basis. I believe my spiritual awareness took precedence and I started writing poems on a regular basis. I was not thinking of turning them into a book until, my grandchildren started telling me that I should. They called my writings deep. There are some interesting topic in the book that might be of interest. I know that the Holy Spirit helped me pen this poetry book, because every time I read it I get instant recall as to what was going on in my life at the time of the writing. I wrote this book about seventeen years ago and it never creases to amaze me that I can recall the reason why I penned these words. I hope and pray that whoever reads this poetry book get touched by the Spirit and if they are not follower of Jesus Christ or the father God, that it makes them want to look into becoming one of God's saints. May the Spirit of the Lord touch you and give you comfort, peace, joy and understanding. May God blessings be upon you. Amen.

The idealistic Del Greco knows he's up against a powerful union, but what he doesn't know is that a racist killer lurks on the river intimidating anyone who supports the new union. This killer brazenly murdered twenty-year-veteran white bridge tender, Stanley "Stosh" Kozinski, at his own job site on the 18th Street Bridge during the times of Chicago's worst racial tension since the race riots of 1919. Del Greco is paired with an alluring ally in his fight for justice for the bridge workers. Michelle Jordan is the attractive black opposing special counsel hired by the City and is sympathetic to the plight of the black river workers. Greco and Jordan's clandestine and professionally unethical collaboration lead to a passionate love affair and dramatic life-and-death confrontation with the river murderer.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Writing has always been my way of relaxing and dealing with stress. Raised by Myrtle Brown, my grandmother in Perrine, Florida, my brother and I learned survival on a whole new scale. Having no family in Florida, my Jamaican grandmother worked hard as a housekeeper to give us a good life. While she was out working, my brother and I were home alone. It was not just a struggle to survive, but to gain an education in a place that had no love for outsiders. We pushed to overcome every obstacle to earn the success we have today. Even though my grandmother has been gone for eight years, I can only pray that she would be proud of all I have accomplished. I graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High School and went on to fight for my country aboard the USS Enterprise during the war on terrorism when America was attacked. I have always seen life as a challenge to be answered. Even though there are things I would do differently, I am thankful that I now stand complete as a man. This book is just one of many accomplishments I look forward to happening. I am also looking to God to bring me into the state of life that He wants me reach.
