De nos jours, la fonction principale des agents de voyages consiste à élaborer et à commercialiser des "forfaits touristiques". Le "forfait touristique" correspond à la combinaison de plusieurs prestations (transport et hébergement, par exemple); il est organisé à l'avance et proposé aux clients sur catalogue à un prix "tout compris", comme un véritable "produit touristique". Le législateur a accompagné cette évolution. La loi du 13 juillet 1992, transposant la directive communautaire du 13 juin 1990, a introduit dans notre droit un nouveau contrat spécial (vraiment très spécial...) : la "vente de voyages à forfait ". Le présent ouvrage étudie l'ensemble des règles applicables aux agents de voyages. La première partie est consacrée au statut des agents de voyages, au travers de trois titres: attribution de la licence, exploitation de la licence, régimes spéciaux. La seconde partie est consacrée aux relations des agents de voyages avec leurs clients, en envisageant successivement le contrat de "vente de voyages à forfait" et les conventions hors forfait. L'ouvrage est à jour des dernières réformes et de la jurisprudence la plus récente. II s'adresse aux professionnels du tourisme et à leurs conseils ainsi qu'aux étudiants. II intéressera tous ceux qui désirent en savoir plus sur le rôle et la responsabilité des agences de voyages.
