Respecto del rol que cumple la Administración del Estado en materia de libertad sindical, en Chile está asociado fundamentalmente a la labor que realiza la Dirección del Trabajo. En ese contexto, existe una importante función referida a la interpretación administrativa que realiza esta institución a través de sus dictámenes, los que buscan fijar el sentido y alcance de la legislación laboral. El objetivo central de esta obra ha sido exponer el tratamiento que le da nuestra legislación laboral a los diversos componentes de la libertad sindical y, especialmente, el desarrollo de la misma a través de la jurisprudencia administrativa de la Dirección del Trabajo contenida en sus dictámenes.

Part IV deals with matters of productive development.
