Todo ello, con el objetivo de observar el impacto que dicha situación tiene en el ámbito laboral y en los derechos laborales de las deportistas profesionales; especialmente, en lo referido a la desigualdad retributiva; cuestión a la que se dedica buena parte de esta obra. El análisis de la cuestión se realiza con una mirada crítica, procurando ofrecer datos y analizar normativa y jurisprudencia desde la propia óptica y especialidad del deporte profesional, con el fin de plantear aquellas cuestiones más controvertidas en la materia y facilitar información que permita avanzar en pro de la igualdad de trato en este sector productivo que, como se ha visto en los últimos tiempos, tanto impacto tiene en nuestra sociedad.
