Book Synopsis Vector Control of Induction Machines by : Benoît Robyns
Download or read book Vector Control of Induction Machines written by Benoît Robyns and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-02-04 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: After a brief introduction to the main law of physics and fundamental concepts inherent in electromechanical conversion, Vector Control of Induction Machines introduces the standard mathematical models for induction machines – whichever rotor technology is used – as well as several squirrel-cage induction machine vector-control strategies. The use of causal ordering graphs allows systematization of the design stage, as well as standardization of the structure of control devices. Vector Control of Induction Machines suggests a unique approach aimed at reducing parameter sensitivity for vector controls based on a theoretical analysis of this sensitivity. This analysis naturally leads to the introduction of control strategies that are based on the combination of different controls with different robustness properties, through the use of fuzzy logic supervisors. Numerous applications and experiments confirm the validity of this simple solution, which is both reproducible and applicable to other complex systems. Vector Control of Induction Machines is written for researchers and postgraduate students in electrical engineering and motor drive design.

Book Synopsis Control of Synchronous Motors by : Jean-Paul Louis
Download or read book Control of Synchronous Motors written by Jean-Paul Louis and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2013-02-07 with total page 340 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Synchronous motors are indubitably the most effective device to drive industrial production systems and robots with precision and rapidity. Their control law is thus critical for combining at the same time high productivity to reduced energy consummation. As far as possible, the control algorithms must exploit the properties of these actuators. Therefore, this work draws on well adapted models resulting from the Park’s transformation, for both the most traditional machines with sinusoidal field distribution and for machines with non-sinusoidal field distribution which are more and more used in industry. Both, conventional control strategies like vector control (either in the synchronous reference frame or in the rotor frame) and advanced control theories like direct control and predictive control are thoroughly presented. In this context, a significant place is reserved to sensorless control which is an important and critical issue in tomorrow’s motors.

Book Synopsis Industrial Robots / Robots industriels / Industrie-Roboter by : Professor Dr. Christof W. Burckhardt
Download or read book Industrial Robots / Robots industriels / Industrie-Roboter written by Professor Dr. Christof W. Burckhardt and published by Birkhäuser. This book was released on 2013-11-11 with total page 223 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Industrial Robot-a programmable device capable of executing autonomously a number of manipulations in a production line--opens new perspectives in terms of progress in the mechan ization of industrial production. It ought to be able to liberate man from dangerous, unpleasant and monotonous work. Industrial Robots made their first appearance in the USA in 1962 where they were mainly used in the automobile industry. Since then the number of manufacturers has increased substantially and Industrial Robots are currently finding ever widening fields of application. Anyone wishing to learn something about Industrial Robots is somewhat confined to conferences and their proceedings as these are at the moment the best way to keep abreast of developments in this new and complex field. The "Journees de Microtechnique" take place every two years at the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne and treat a different subject of current interest on each occasion. The subject chosen for October 1974 was the Industrial Robot in general. together with its precision engineering aspects. The present proceedings although somewhat heterogenious, provide abrief introduction to this field and record the state of this technique, of a marked interdisciplinary nature, which is in constant and rapid development.
Book Synopsis Elsevier's Dictionary of Automation Technics by : B. Zhelyazova
Download or read book Elsevier's Dictionary of Automation Technics written by B. Zhelyazova and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2005-04-28 with total page 1009 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This dictionary contains 13,000 terms with more than 4,000 cross-references used in the following fields: automation, technology of management and regulation, computing machine and data processing, computer control, automation of industry, laser technology, theory of information and theory of signals, theory of algorithms and programming, philosophical bases of cybernetics, cybernetics and mathematical methods.Automation pertains to the theory, art, or technique of making a machine, a process or a device more fully automatic. Computers and information processing equipment play a large role in the automation of a process because of the inherent ability of a computer to develop decision that will, in effect, control or govern the process from the information received by the computer concerning the status of the process. Thus automation pertains to both the theory, and techniques of using automatic systems in industrial applications and the processes of investigation, design and conversion to automatic methods. Automatic control, automatic materials handling, automatic testing, automatic packaging, for continuous as well as batch processing, are all considered parts of the overall or completely automatic process. The Dictionary consists of two parts, Basic Table and Indexes. In the first part the English terms are listed alphabetically, numbered consecutively and followed by its German, French and Russian equivalents. English synonyms appear as cross-references to the main entries in their proper alphabetical order. The second part of the Dictionary, the Indexes, contains separate alphabetical indexes of the German, French and Russian terms. The reference number(s) with each term stands for the number of the English term(s) in the basic table.Elsevier's Dictionary of Automatic Technics will be a valuable tool for specialists, scientists, students and everyone who takes interest in the problems of investigation devoted to the design, development, and applications of methods and techniques for rendering a process of group of machines self-actuating, self-moving, or self-controlling.
