Book excerpt: Excerpt from Jehovah-Jesus the Oneness of God: The True Trinity To others still, this doctrine has proved a stum bling-block, preventing their acceptance of the Gos pel: their religious teachers assuming and insisting, but not proving to their satisfaction, that it is essen tial to Christianity while it seems to them to involve an absurdity, - to be, not a mystery above reason, but a dogma contrary to reason. To aid such, and all other honest seekers after truth, these pages have been written. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The teaching that God is one was paramount in Old Testament theology, since the introduction of the New Testament the concept of one God continued and was expanded by and through Jesus in Second Temple Monotheism. With this in mind, the Bible does not teach the concept of the Trinitarian doctrine. The Apostles, including the New Testament Church, were pure monotheistic and oneness believers knowing and understanding that God is one and not one substance and three persons. Therefore, this book has addressed a variety of issues and provided a body of literature and authority supporting the position that God is numerically one and that the Trinitarian doctrine is a human construct and product that is unscriptural and unbiblical, which evolved over the centuries being fueled by man made creeds and ideologies. It is not surprising then that even Trinitarians struggle to define the Trinitarian doctrine suggesting it is a mystical revelation, when in fact, others have argued that it is incomprehensible.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Understanding the Trinity is a revolution in Christian thought and philosophy. True Christianity is a Jewish religion established and organized by Jews. Gentiles were invited by Jews, with God's approval, to participate in the Christian movement. However, Gentile Leaders in most Christian Churches of the world today do not preach the original Christian gospel message of salvation that was first delivered to the saints by the apostle Paul (Galatians 1:8-9). "Understanding the Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations," will bring us back to the original gospel message, the oneness of God, and the power of God's name in the face of Jesus Christ. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Luke 2:11). When Billy G. Newton, Bishop, Diocesan of the 29th Episcopal District, Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., Pastor of the Word of Church read this book, he said, "This book was so fascinating I couldn't put it down." When Kevin Seraaj, M.Div., J.D. Senior Pastor, Cornerstone Baptist Church, Publisher, Central Florida Advocate News read this book, he said, "Understanding the Trinity" is a timely, relevant and extremely provocative piece of work. In a time when the church must be challenged to move out of old ways, notions, thoughts and traditions, this book will without question provide a forum for much-needed theological discussion. For students of the Bible, this book is a must read, for it is always that process of reading, analyzing and debating that enables us to move forward in both our personal and spiritual journeys." Great job!! When Frank E. Thompson, Pastor of the Worship Center Church read the book, he said, "This book should be taught in colleges and universities." Author's Note: You have in your possession the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Don't let the birds steal your seeds (Matthew 13:3-13) (KJV).

This most widely misunderstood Christian doctrine and the most difficult to explain is simplified and clear with each chapter sharing specific points on how God can be three in one. The last chapter shares frequently asked questions on the Trinity and gives scriptural answers on how Jesus can be equally God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Knowing God and His attributes, how He saves and answers prayer is foundational to all truth and eternal life. Section one deals with proper attitudes we bring to the Old Testament text, knowing it is God's self-revelation Section two points out passages where two Persons manifest divine attributes or are called God, Jehovah or Lord: and Who is the Angel of the Lord. Section three explains the texts where three Persons are called God, Jehovah or Creator. Here we see the lie of the Da Vinci Code as hundreds of years B.C. Jesus is called God. God's self-revelation in the Old Testament is proved by hundreds of fulfilled prophecies we enumerate. The appendices deal with: the eternal personality of the Spirit; How to pray with Trinitarian Resources; Biblical words and phrases twisted by sectarians; the Trinity in the New Testament and Divine Names given equally to Jehovah and Jesus.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In writing this book, I was mindful of the many areas of conflict that exist between Christian and Christian, Christian and Jew, Christian and Jehovah Witness, Members of The Church of Latter Day Saints and others. The purpose was to examine critically, some of the main areas of conflict, and measure them against what the bible has to say concerning the Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and to arrive at a reasonable, honest and dispassionate conclusion. One very clear and positive way was to show that Jesus, that great and unusual man of history, was indeed a man from heaven and is in fact God incarnate. Even those who have not accepted Jesus as God or equal with God, must admit that he was like no other. He was born in a lowly stable and died a convicted felon. Yet the world in short order turned to him. Even the mighty Roman Empire which initially haunted and crucified, hanged and hounded Christians, eventually turned to Him and acknowledged Him. The evidence, then, is that Jesus is someone special. The Jewish ruler Nichodemus acknowledged he was from God. It follows, therefore, that if Jesus was from God, then it is reasonable to accept that he was a person of truth and integrity. Yet Jesus said he was God. God seems to have been well pleased with Jesus. Is it not reasonable, therefore, to accept Jesus at His word? Commonsense and logic answers a resounding Yes!

Book excerpt: The following dissertation concerning the Trinity, as the reader ought to be informed, has been written in order to guard against the sophistries of those who disdain to begin with faith, and are deceived by a crude and perverse love of reason. Now one class of such men endeavor to transfer to things incorporeal and spiritual the ideas they have formed, whether through experience of the bodily senses, or by natural human wit and diligent quickness, or by the aid of art, from things corporeal; so as to seek to measure and conceive of the former by the latter. Book excerpt: While many of us struggle to understand it, the Trinity is one of the most important teachings of the Christian faith. It defines God's very essence and describes how he relates to us. And while it can be a difficult concept to get our heads around, it is crucial for believers to understand how God explains his triune nature in his Word. In this book, James R. White offers a concise, understandable explanation of what the Trinity is and why it matters. While refuting the distortions of God presented by various cults, Dr. White shows how understanding this teaching leads to renewed worship and a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Christian. And amid today's emphasis on the renewing work of the Holy Spirit, The Forgotten Trinity is a balanced look at all three persons of the Trinity. May this book deepen your understanding of this important doctrine while also drawing you closer to the triune God himself.
