Jerome's team, which includes three X-police officers and five X-military men has recently joined an FBI task force to hunt and track down sex traffickers. They are strategically placed around the country searching for these heinous criminals. Jerome and his team of eighteen drivers deliver refrigerated food to large distribution centers nationwide which provides a way for the team to locate and track sex criminals. While the team tracks and takes down traffickers, they search for clues to the whereabouts of Jerome's twin sister, Jillian, who went missing from Evergreen, Colorado, forty-one years ago. Jerome has a suspicion that she was abducted by traffickers. With the help of the team, he finds clues to the mystery of Jillian's disappearance.Meanwhile, Jake Losato, a tremendously skilled tracker on the task force has been searching for his girlfriend, Grace Nadaeu, who went missing from a night club thirty-nine years ago. His story intertwines with other characters throughout the book. Sarah Beaulieu is a vigilante sort who conceals her identity. She and her hacker genius friend, Trevor, figure out how to locate and track sex criminals. Once the team gets close to the criminals, Sarah figures out how to rescue the young women and takes them to safe havens. Sarah has had a difficult life with tremendous sadness in her past. Sarah decided to work to rescue girls from traffickers when her best friend, Grace, went missing from a night club in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, many years ago. She tells her story, which weaves in and out with other characters. My story is fictional, however, included in the book are references about actual arrests that have taken place all over the country and the rescue of many young women. Spanning the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, these tales of extraordinary people with ordinary causes of death and ordinary people who died in extraordinary ways illustrate the uncertainties of life on the edge of the Confederacy and next door to Oklahoma Indian Territory. From the former slave who died of old age to the chemistry student who accidentally poisoned his own apple, each account provides a fascinating glimpse into the history of Gainesville. A full map and legend is included to guide readers to each of the sites.

Their children, Zachary and Lucia, were destined to be demon hunters-Venators. From the age they were able to hold a sword, they were trained to become the best and to ensure they would become leaders one day. All is peaceful throughout the land until the Fallen and demons' presences were felt in the between and on Earth. As the Venators investigate these locations, they will quickly learn how dangerous their lives are. Hearts will be broken. Teammates will lose their lives. And they will face obstacles which will test their faith. As danger grows, the fear of fallen angels and demons regrouping has the Divine Elders on pins and needles. Now, Zachary and Lucia, along with Uncle Davin, must prepare themselves-mentally and physically-to live on Earth to investigate where the focal point of evil resides before it's too late.

Allowed to go his way, he buys a gunsmith shop in Wyoming. Two years later, he receives a visitor. Then, the visitor's granddaughter. And J. D. McKennick, is forced back into the black whirlpool of his lost memory. To fight what he finds, his old team is reformed. One is dead, two have medical discharges, and one is at his 'day' job. Falcon, Slackman, Angel, Scooter, the Kraut, Bait, and the people around them, must spearhead the fight against the threat to the government and people of the United States.

Book excerpt: The nail-biting third novel in the Night Angel series, from international bestseller Brent Weeks - an astonishing and epic tale of magic, violence and revenge. A new queen has usurped the throne and is leading Cenaria into disaster. The country has become a broken realm with a threadbare army, little food, and no hope. Kylar Stern plans to reinstate his closest friend Logan as King, but can he really get away with murder? In the north, the Godking's death has thrown Khalidor into civil war. To gain the upper hand, one faction attempts to raise the goddess Khali herself. But they are playing with volatile powers, and trigger conflict on a vast scale. Seven armies will converge to save - or destroy - an entire continent. Kylar has finally learnt the bitter cost of immortality, and is faced with a task only he can complete. To save his friends, and perhaps his enemies, he must assassinate a goddess. Failure will doom the south. Success will cost him everything he's ever loved. Book excerpt: A tale of a woman’s romantic entanglements with two anthropologists—and the odd mating habits of humans—from the author of Jane and Prudence. Catherine Oliphant writes for women’s magazines and lives comfortably with anthropologist Tom Mallow—although she’s starting to wonder if they’ll ever get married. Then Tom drops his bombshell: He’s leaving her for a nineteen-year-old student. Though stunned by Tom’s betrayal, Catherine quickly becomes fascinated by another anthropologist, Alaric Lydgate, a reclusive eccentric recently returned from Africa. As Catherine starts to weigh her options, she must figure out who she is and what she really wants. With a lively cast of characters and a witty look at the insular world of academia, this novel from the much-loved author of Excellent Women and other modern classics is filled with poignant, playful observations about the traits that separate us from our anthropological forebears—far fewer than we may imagine.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The perfect gift for the Angels in your life. A book to be treasured forever. Personal protectors…divine messengers…pure spirit…seraphim and cherubim…agents of God. We all have a notion of what angles are and what they should look like. We’ve seen angels portrayed in paintings, sculpture, movies, and TV. But even with hundreds of books and TV shows on angels, is there something about them we’ve missed? The Secret Strength of Angels is about the remarkable qualities that angels possess and what we humans can do to emulate them in our own lives here on earth. What’s secret about these virtues is not so much what these angel strengths are, but the idea that we can penetrate the shroud of mystery that surrounds them and identify very specific attributes–seven in particular–that we can make a part of our own personalities once we understand and appreciate them. This may come as a surprise to some. Even those of us who do believe in angels have traditionally thought of them as belonging to another realm, pure spirit, sometimes impish, sometimes heroic, agents of God, our personal protectors. We have been encouraged to model ourselves after elders deserving of respect, remarkable figures in history, saints. But this may be the first time that anyone has considered angels themselves as models for human behavior. The Secret Strength of Angels reminds us that it is not what angels are that is important, but rather what they do. Angels travel the world protecting people, performing altruistic acts, and making life better for those around them. In fact, there are seven specific strengths that angels exhibit, which Dr. Flach reveals: ■ The freedom to choose ■ The power of knowing ■ Love and generosity ■ Communicating ■ A mission to guide and protect ■ Healing and helping ■ A mission to become a more spiritual person Written with quiet confidence and authority, The Secret Strength of Angels provides a unique guide to confronting the day to day in the healthiest manner possible. Whether it helps you heal old wounds and change your behavior, or merely confirms what you already know, The Secret Strength of Angels is thought-provoking and interesting, and contains a message that can appeal to anyone. For every Angel on Earth.
