Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: iNTELLYJELLY- A name inspired by (no points for guessing) the word ‘intelligent’. Among many, the suffix ‘Jelly’ was agreed upon unanimously by us, as a word that brought in memories of fun, fun, and more fun! An amalgamation of these two words was our way of expressing our intention─ to make intelligent reading fun! One of the intentions of this magazine is to be that companion for children that offers a series of situations and stories and encourages them to shape their own ideas. The purpose is also to be a source of conversation which is beautifully woven into the lives of children and helps them develop to be limitless. While brainstorming ideas on how this magazine will play a major role in a child’s life, we ideated with numerous scenarios. We imagined a rough train ride where an 8-year-old child is seated in a corner, happily flipping through these pages. We also pictured a beautiful bedtime routine where a 5-year-old and his parents take the opportunity to flip through a few stories and discuss things about the world, something that we rarely do otherwise. We further imagined a 12-year-old child engrossed in taking notes from this to build a science project. When visualising all this, we also imagined gadgets lying far away and not being asked or sought for. We didn’t just see a child being nurtured; we saw the child’s potential being discovered and an exciting future being created. For kids aged 4 to 12 years, iNTELLYJELLY offers a holistic approach to empower them through a kind of education that instils in them a sense of purpose and a willingness to create something worthwhile. Some of the key areas that iNTELLYJELLY talks about each month are: Values Leadership qualities Emotional quotient Teamwork Logical thinking Knowledge Science Geography Global literature UNESCO’s proven methodology plays a major role in inspiring and moulding iNTELLYJELLY’s content. As a result, you will find the magazine offering a vibrant and colourful array of comics, stories, activities and a lot more for young readers. With immense pride, we share that iNTELLYJELLY has grown at a great pace and has earned national and international acclamation within the first two years of its inception. This clearly demonstrates our readers’ faith in us. Among many, the credit for this progress and ongoing momentum goes to the prestigious schools that have welcomed and introduced iNTELLYJELLY in the lives of their students. It has also been a privilege to partner with Reliance Jio in creating awareness among children. iNTELLYJELLY has also been appreciated by a few eminent personalities like Sir Richard Branson (The Virgin group, UK), Mr. Amitabh Bachchan (Actor), Ms.Nandita Das (Actor and Social Activist) and many more. ‘Being limitless’ runs through our veins, and hence, we are committed to creating a deeply inset habit of reading among kids, globally.

Book excerpt: The untamed, incandescent and battle-ready Srilaa grows up in her wealthy Marwari family’s palatial house in Calcutta. After suffering her first heartbreak at the hands of a potential suitor, she is married and packed off to Bombay to live with her new husband. There she experiences womanhood and confronts her sexual curiosities, misgivings and desires, but continues to hope daringly and love fearlessly—refusing to live her life by the unrealistic standards society often sets on unconventional women. The young and vivacious Srilaa slowly but assuredly becomes the inimitable Srilaaji! And each time life starts crumbling around her, she manages to pick herself up … and from the ashes of an uncertain life, a phoenix rises. Told with Shobhaa De’s matchless blend of candour, humour and seductive earthiness, Srilaaji captures the soul of an indomitable spirit. A book that simmers and erupts at will, and presents us with one of the most unforgettable protagonists in years – the utterly delicious Srilaaji.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As the world is shaken by a virus, Shobhaa De – a writer who understands the human heart and how it beats – felt the need to document not just what she is going through personally but what the entire world is experiencing. And out of this need emerged many unique narratives ... Lockdown Liaisons is a collection of short stories, from the varying perspectives of both men and women – young and old, brave and cowardly, cheerful and weighed down – each story an unique offering from a writer who understands how very fragile human relationships can be as they break, suffer and are redefined under trying circumstances. Explore, read and understand the subterranean world of shifting emotions during Covid-19, through stories that will speak to you. There is a woman with a young child who discovers that she doesn’t love her husband after all, there is a migrant worker who has to make a tough choice as he gets ready to walk hundreds of uncertain kilometres homewards. And many more. But what binds these stories together is love. These are stories that show how Covid-19 is affecting the hearts of hundreds of people as they struggle to make sense of altered circumstances, of the ‘new normal’ that will emerge in a post-Covid world.
