This book was released on 1995-06-20 with total page 206 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume presents carefully refereed versions of the best papers presented at the Workshop on Models and Languages for Coordination of Parallelism and Distribution, held during ECOOP '94 in Bologna, Italy in July 1994. Recently a new class of models and languages for distributed and parallel programming has evolved; all these models share a few basic concepts: simple features for data description and a small number of mechanisms for coordinating the work of agents in a distributed setting. This volume demonstrates that integrating such features with those known from concurrent object-oriented programming is very promising with regard to language support for distribution and software composition.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Embedded systems are nearly ubiquitous, and books on individual topics or components of embedded systems are equally abundant. Unfortunately, for those designers who thirst for knowledge of the big picture of embedded systems there is not a drop to drink. Until now. The Embedded Systems Handbook is an oasis of information, offering a mix of basic a

Book Synopsis Euro-Par 2000 Parallel Processing by : Arndt Bode
Download or read book Euro-Par 2000 Parallel Processing written by Arndt Bode and published by Springer. This book was released on 2003-06-26 with total page 1395 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Euro-Par – the European Conference on Parallel Computing – is an international conference series dedicated to the promotion and advancement of all aspects of parallel computing. The major themes can be divided into the broad categories of hardware, software, algorithms, and applications for parallel computing. The objective of Euro-Par is to provide a forum within which to promote the dev- opment of parallel computing both as an industrial technique and an academic discipline, extending the frontier of both the state of the art and the state of the practice. This is particularlyimportant at a time when parallel computing is - dergoing strong and sustained development and experiencing real industrial take up. The main audience for and participants of Euro-Par are seen as researchers in academic departments, government laboratories, and industrial organisations. Euro-Par’s objective is to become the primarychoice of such professionals for the presentation of new results in their speci?c areas. Euro-Par is also interested in applications that demonstrate the e?ectiveness of the main Euro-Par themes. Euro-Par now has its own Internet domain with a permanent Web site where the historyof the conference series is described: http://www. euro-par. org. The Euro-Par conference series is sponsored bythe Association of Computer Machineryand the International Federation of Information Processing.

The volume is organized in sections on fine-grain parallelism, align- ment and distribution, postlinear loop transformation, parallel structures, program analysis, computer communication, automatic parallelization, languages for parallelism, scheduling and program optimization, and program evaluation.
Book Synopsis Modeling and Simulation of Invasive Applications and Architectures by : Sascha Roloff
Download or read book Modeling and Simulation of Invasive Applications and Architectures written by Sascha Roloff and published by Springer. This book was released on 2019-05-30 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book covers two main topics: First, novel fast and flexible simulation techniques for modern heterogeneous NoC-based multi-core architectures. These are implemented in the full-system simulator called InvadeSIM and designed to study the dynamic behavior of hundreds of parallel application programs running on such architectures while competing for resources. Second, a novel actor-oriented programming library called ActorX10, which allows to formally model parallel streaming applications by actor graphs and to analyze predictable execution behavior as part of so-called hybrid mapping approaches, which are used to guarantee real-time requirements of such applications at design time independent from dynamic workloads by a combination of static analysis and dynamic embedding.
