Book Synopsis Monogenic Functions in Spaces with Commutative Multiplication and Applications by : Sergiy A. Plaksa
Download or read book Monogenic Functions in Spaces with Commutative Multiplication and Applications written by Sergiy A. Plaksa and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-07-18 with total page 548 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph develops a theory of continuous and differentiable functions, called monogenic functions, in the sense of Gateaux functions taking values in some vector spaces with commutative multiplication. The study of these monogenic functions in various commutative algebras leads to a discovery of new ways of solving boundary value problems in mathematical physics. The book consists of six parts: Part I presents some preliminary notions and introduces various concepts of differentiable mappings of vector spaces. Part II - V is devoted to the study of monogenic functions in various spaces with commutative multiplication, namely, three dimensional commutative algebras with two-dimensional radical, finite-dimensional commutative associative algebras, infinite-dimensional vector spaces associated with the three-dimensional Laplace equation and infinite-dimensional vector spaces associated with axial-symmetric potential fields. Part VI presents some boundary value problems for axial-symmetric potential fields and develops effective analytic methods of solving these boundary value problems with various applications in mathematical physics. Graduate students and researchers alike benefit from this book.

Book Synopsis Models and Theories in Social Systems by : Cristina Flaut
Download or read book Models and Theories in Social Systems written by Cristina Flaut and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-10-12 with total page 576 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book concisely presents a broad range of models and theories on social systems. Because of the huge spectrum of topics involving social systems, various issues related to Mathematics, Statistics, Teaching, Social Science, and Economics are discussed. In an effort to introduce the subject to a wider audience, this volume, part of the series “Studies in Systems, Decision and Control”, equally addresses the needs of mathematicians, statisticians, sociologists and philosophers. The studies examined here are divided into four parts. The first part, “Perusing the Minds Behind Scientific Discoveries”, traces the winding path of Syamal K. Sen and Ravi P. Agarwal’s scholarship throughout history, and most importantly, the thought processes that allowed each of them to master their subject. The second part covers “Theories in Social Systems” and the third discusses “Models in Social Systems”, while the fourth and final part is dedicated to “Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences”. Given its breadth of coverage, the book will offer inquisitive readers a valuable point of departure for exploring these rich, vast, and ever-expanding fields of knowledge.

Download or read book Advances in Applied Analysis written by Sergei V. Rogosin and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-08-21 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book contains survey papers based on the lectures presented at the 3rd International Winter School “Modern Problems of Mathematics and Mechanics” held in January 2010 at the Belarusian State University, Minsk. These lectures are devoted to different problems of modern analysis and its applications. An extended presentation of modern problems of applied analysis will enable the reader to get familiar with new approaches of mostly interdisciplinary character. The results discussed are application oriented and present new insight into applied problems of growing importance such as applications to composite materials, anomalous diffusion, and fluid dynamics.
Book Synopsis Multivalued Functions in Generalized Axially Symmetric Potential Theory by : Lawrence Edward Payne
Download or read book Multivalued Functions in Generalized Axially Symmetric Potential Theory written by Lawrence Edward Payne and published by . This book was released on 1954 with total page 44 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this paper we obtain expressions for the multivalued potentials and stream functions arising in certain fundamental problems in Generalized Axially Symmetric Potential Theory. These expressions exhibit clearly the analytic character and the cyclic nature of the functions, and involve sums or integrals of Legendre functions.
