Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Holy Injil in Modern English: The Good News According to Luke is an entirely new, fresh, and vibrant translation of this important part of the Holy Scriptures. English has become the world's lingua franca. This text of the Holy Injil is designed specifically for English speakers whose religious vocabulary is influenced by the Arabic language and Middle Eastern tradition. The Holy Injil records the extraordinary life and words of Isa al-Masih--his unique birth, the miracles he performed, his profound and heart-gripping teachings. It tells us how Isa's entire time on earth fulfilled the ancient prophecies of the Holy Scriptures, namely, those which Allah (to him be all praise) had previously given to the Prophet Musa, King Dawud, and the other prophets to record in the Holy Tawrat, Zabur, and al-Anbiya. This English translation is done directly from the ancient Greek language source text. That text itself was written soon after Isa al-Masih's life and ascension into heaven. Thanks to the will of Allah, it has been miraculously preserved in thousands of hand-written manuscripts, many of which, whether in the original Greek or translations into ancient languages, date well before 600 A.D. Some even go back to the second century. This English translation is accompanied by footnotes to help readers, especially those unfamiliar with the Holy Injil. It includes colored maps depicting the ancient land and travels of Isa al-Masih. And it also includes twenty short articles answering key questions about Isa's life and teachings--the message Allah gave to him for all people of all time. Quoted in those articles are selections from the Tawrat, Zabur, and al-Anbiya, along with other portions of the Holy Injil. As the preface to The Holy Injil in Modern English says, The Bible is the most famous book in the history of the world. The most translated, the most printed, the most distributed, the most loved, the most read. It is also the most hated and the most vilified. Either way, to be ignorant of it is to be ignorant of history, of religion, of literature, and ultimately of humanity itself. May Allah bless and encourage you through the life and words of Isa al-Masih!

Book excerpt: The Honored Injeel is an English translation of the Arabic translation of Al-Injil (The New Testament). The Arabic Al-Injil was translated from Codex Sinaiticus, the oldest manuscript of the Injil in the original Greek language, dating from 325-350 A.D. The Arabic translation from which this was translated uses Islamic Arabic terminology and phraseology, and is meant to communicate clearly with an Arab Muslim audience. This English translation follows the philosophy of the Arabic translation and uses Arabic Islamic names and terms (italicized) that make the meaning and reference clear for an English-speaking Muslim reader. It contains almost 3000 footnotes with linguistic, cultural and religious background information, and a glossary with definitions of all the Arabic words used in the translation. An English-speaking Muslim reader will understand the meaning of the Injeel without outside help.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Muslim Writers on Judaism and the Hebrew Bible deals with the way in which Judaism and its holy scriptures were viewed by nine medieval Muslim writers representing different genres of Arabic literature: Ibn Rabban al-ṭabarī, Ibn Qutayba, al-Ya‘qūbī, Abū Ja‘far al-ṭabarī, al-Mas‘ūdī, al-Maqdisī, al-Bāqillānī, al-Bīrūnī and Ibn ḥazm. After an introductory chapter on the reception of Biblical materials in early Islam and a presentation of the authors under review, the book focuses on their knowledge of Judaism and the text of the Hebrew Bible, and subsequently discusses issues frequently debated between Muslims and Jews, namely, the claim that the Torah contains references to Muḥammad, and the assertion that the Torah has been both abrogated and falsified. In the appendix, texts by Ibn Qutayba and al-Maqdisī are offered for the first time in an English translation.

Ten Amazing Muslims is a compilation of stories representing a vast demographic of Muslims—from Jihadists to peaceful leaders and humble Bedouins to intellectuals of various echelons of society worldwide. True stories include a man raised to be a terrorist, to a scholar seeking to know Muhammad and a woman raised as a Bedouin. Through these experiences you will gain a deeper understanding of Islam and be amazed at the personal encounters with the God of Abraham,Isaac, Ishmael, and Jacob. You will hear truths from the Qur’an, the Torah, the Zabur (the Book of Psalms), and the Injil (the Gospel)—the words of Muhammad, Moses, Jesus, and the ancient prophets of God. In their own words, ten amazing Muslims tell their stories about how God chose to reveal Himself to them in extraordinarily supernatural ways. Most of these men and women are devout Muslims, while others are scholars of the Qur’an and Hadith—some are just ordinary Muslims searching for answers from God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Muslim Claim of Corruption In spite of the fact that a) the Qur’an requires all Muslims to believe in the Torah, Zebur, and ?njil as the Word of God, and even though b) the Qur’an clearly states that no one can ever change the Word of God, c) nevertheless, most Muslims today believe that the Bible has been changed and corrupted. The reason why Muslims have not been able to see that these claims are contrary to all logic and reason is because there are many points of conflict between the Bible and the Qur’an. Muslims have made the a-priori assumption that the Qur’an could not be wrong, and therefore the Bible must have been changed. While all Muslims are commanded in the Qur’an to honor and obey Jesus as a prophet, at the same time most Muslims refuse to read or heed the commands of Jesus which are found only in the ?njil on the pretext that it has been changed. And so the pardox remains; since there are no direct quotations of Jesus to be found in the Qur’an, how can Muslims honestly say that they honor Jesus as a prophet while at the same time they refuse to read and obey Jesus’s own words which are found only in the ?njil? At the core of these false claims of corruption is an innate hypocricy and a spirit of unbelief which needs to be exposed for what it is. The Qur’an challenges Christians to: “bring your proof (of what ye state) if ye are truthful.” (Bakara 2:111) This book takes up this challenge and provides ample proof from both the Bible and the Qur’an, as well as from historical and manuscript evidence, to show that the Bible that we have today is indeed trustworthy and reliable as the Word of God. This book exhorts Muslims to repent of their hypocritical double standards and their sin of unbelief and encourages them to read and obey the unchangeable Word of God as it is recorded and preserved in the Holy Bible.

Using commentaries from the classical period through the medieval and modern periods to the present, this series presents the Qur’anic explanation as Muslims have understood it and interiorized it throughout its rich exegetical history, and has been written not primarily for scholars but for those interested readers and non-Arabic speaking students of Islam, both Muslim and non-Muslim. This volume is the second in the series containing the third surah, Al Imran. The first volume contains the first and the second surahs. The entire collection will comprise an encyclopedia of the Qur’an commentary.

Book excerpt: Republication of Arthur Jeffery's important study, "The Foreign Vocabulary of the Qur'?n," offers a new generation of scholars and students access to this foundational text. Arranged in Arabic alphabetical order, Jeffery's compendium of philological scholarship remains an indispensable tool for any serious study of Qur'?nic semantics. Drawing upon etymological examination of languages such as Greek, Persian, Syriac, Ethiopic, Coptic and Nabataean, Jeffery's work illuminates the rich linguistic texture of Islam's holy book. His lengthy introductory essay explores the exegetical analysis offered by medieval Muslim commentators as well as the insights provided by more recent research.
