Book excerpt: Hospital Horror Gaunt and ghostlike, Charles Cullen was a lifelong misfit who quietly became one of the most prolific serial killers in U.S. history. Over the course of sixteen years, he walked the hallways of hospitals and nursing homes in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, where he worked as a nurse, "ministering" to the elderly and other gravely ill patients in critical care units. The self-appointed grim reaper played a cruel game, deciding which of his charges should die. . .and snuffing out their lives with fatal drug overdoses. Nightmare Nurse Cullen specialized in nighttime assignments to ICU wards that he used as his own personal hunting grounds. He was one of a sinister breed of health care professionals who murder their patients: a Death Angel. He confessed to killing as many as 40 patients from 1988 to 2003. Death Angels Among Us Now, bestselling true crime writer Clifford L. Linedecker and Zach Martin, a popular radio personality whose mother was Cullen's first known victim at New Jersey's Somerset Medical Center, tell the chilling story of a diabolical serial murderer who used his medical skills not to cure, but to kill the most vulnerable of victims. Be warned: Charles Cullen is neither the first nor the last such Death Angel--and any one of us could be next. . . 16 Pages Of Shocking Photos

Book Synopsis The Lowlands of Heaven by : Rev. George Vale Owen
Download or read book The Lowlands of Heaven written by Rev. George Vale Owen and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2016-01-03 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Softcover: This book was originally published in England in 1920. The recorder is the Rev. G. Vale Owen, vicar of Orford, Lancashire. The famous Arthur Conan Doyle, someone who had a great deal of interest in Life after Death, contributed an introduction to all five volumes. The messages contained in this book were also published in a daily newspaper by the owner Lord Northcliffe. As such they were widely read, and widely acclaimed. Rev. George Vale Owen was even asked to go down to London to deliver a sermon on these communications. There did not appear to be any significant theological objections from the Church of England to what was set out, and in fact it was accepted that these communications were genuine "inspirational writings", that the Rev. G. Vale Owen was genuine, and that the writings were of great value. It is curious therefor that they have slipped into relative obscurity only 100 years later, even though they were widely accepted within the Church of England and beyond.

Download or read book Dead Angel written by John Clark and published by Booksurge Publishing. This book was released on 2007-05-02 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Author John Clark, who grew up with Garcia in San Francisco, reveals for the first time many experiences relevant not only to diehard 'Dead Head' fans, but to anyone intrigued with the turbulent culture of rock music and motorcycle gangs from the 1960s on. Among the questions Clark tackles are how he and Garcia first met outlaw bikers, and how Garcia conceived of the Grateful Dead. Viewable for the first time are several original photos of Jerry Garcia. Praise for the book's realism comes from those close to the action. Jerry Garcia's brother Cliff says it is 'the best book I have read about my Brother.' And according to Filthy Phil, Former President of Frisco Hell's Angels, 'Dead Angel is the best I have read about the Hell's Angels. It is the truth.'
