His family is revered as well. His three sons all have successful careers; however, his daughter, Tammy, seems to suffer from psychological problems stemming from the aftermath of the murder of her fiancé Anthony Leakes. What worries Senator Prentice is the lack of an heir that meets the stipulations dictated by his ancestors, both black and white, and slave and slave master.

Most of us are guilty of wrong, but our story is not over. Some can walk upright and praise his name but still be sick in the spirit. I can only imagine the fear of knowing you can only talk to the Creator through an interpreter. I could not bring myself to bear witness to such an atrocity. Though I must admit, if that is what helps you to understand the blessings of heaven, then so be it. Love is love, no matter the language, and so shall hate be the same. No. It's truly hard for them to see tomorrow's sun shining through. They know at any moment the raft of Christ shall return. They must get as many soldiers as possible to fight for these times. They are strong enough to say it is a brighter tomorrow, but we are reaching because we live in dark times. They are quick to tell those they seek to bring to Christ that you must remain steadfast; we can only help you by doing things our way, with prayer. We all know they weren't always at this point where Christ's soldiers worship them and bless them with cars and expensive jewelry. It took time and work for them to receive all these gifts from people. What reason does a man of God have to give the blessings he or she receives back to the people of God? They earned those treasures by speaking God's word. No; we all get it and accept it. The silence has nuzzled its way in with torture that can only be described from aggregated accounts, such as the sodomy of a child, blatant discriminatory acts, as well as the need to legally facilitate poverty in the streets of God-blessed America. We do understand the need for pertinent obligations overseas; for a senator's pay increase, not to mention vacation; for prior commitments; or even for good old-fashioned threats to the solvency of our nation.

Book excerpt: Survival!Yes survival! After thirty-four and a half years of physical, mental, verbal, sexual abuse, and yes-even incest, enough is enough! Thirty six year old Alyssa Montgomery is married and has one daughter. She knows there are things going on with herself that she cannot explain! Two years ago, Alyssa had gone to see Dr. Norma Price, a Psychologist who specialized in situations like Alyssa's. She didn't care much for Dr. Price, but she knows that she is the only one who has any knowledge of her family history and herself, so maybe she will give Alyssa one more chance to help her figure out what the hell is going on!Alyssa decided since she was already there, she would storm Dr. Price's office, going past the receptionist who tried to stop Alyssa from going back, and Alyssa slammed the doctor's office door open telling her that she would do whatever she said but that she needed help as of YESTERDAY! Dr. Price said; "Alyssa please take a seat in the lobby and I will be with you as soon as I can." Ten minutes later, Dr. Price opens her door and calls Alyssa back. As Alyssa is taking her seat Dr. Price is explaining to Alyssa; "I don't know if I can help you because you did not stick to our agreement for therapy before. How do I know you are serious now?" Alyssa pleaded; "I am so sorry for not coming back!" " I am sorry for not sticking to the commitment, but things are different now! I realize that I cannot fight this battle alone!" "I am scared to death I will do something I will forever regret and I don't want that to happen!" "Please Dr. Price, won't you help me?" "I can't take this abuse any more!" "I've had enough!"

Book excerpt: This volume brings to a close our four volumes on the chronicled life of Augusta during a very turbulent and pivotal period in the History of the United States: the opening-up of the West, the question of whether slavery would prevail nationally with political attempts to legitimize it in the new territories, starting with Kansas; a serious depression brought on by over expansion of our then growth industry, the railroads; the explosive discoveries of gold in most of the Western Territories; one of the worst wars in our history to settle once and for all whether we were to be "one nation indivisible" with slavery or not. Augusta's original three bound journals, which I inherited, with some 2,000 entries, beginning before she was seventeen, records not only her personal and occasionally tragic involvement in all of these events, but the influence these events had on her life at the time. Her journal entries from 1857 to 1860 present a record of the founding (by her father and a few other abolitionists) the town of Eldorado, Kansas that is better and more authentic than any professional early history of the city we've seen. She described in detail these two or three-dozen mostly young pioneers that were willing to go far beyond the Frontier to establish a voting district free of proslavery domination.
