It was commenced in good faith, and in its progress there has been no deterioration. The artists have achieved both honour for themselves and credit for their employers. In respect to the Historical and Descriptive Accounts which accompany the Views, the Authors have been anxious to render them strictly just and appropriate and they now, on the completion of their task, return their grateful acknowledgments to the several Correspondents who aided them with assistance and information.
