Danach zeige ich anhand von zwei Abbildungen des Statistischen Bundesamtes die Scheidungsstatistiken in Deutschland der letzten Jahre auf. In dem nächsten Kapitel möchte ich die drei Phasen einer Scheidung aufzeigen und dabei zuerst die Ursachen einer Scheidung darstellen. Nach Wilhelm Buschs Zitat hat bei einer Scheidung meistens einer mehr zu leiden, das sind überwiegend die Kinder. Daher werde ich die Auswirkungen auf die Kinder vor, während und nach der Scheidung veranschaulichen. Dabei stellt sich die Frage, mit welchen Gefühlen und Belastungen Kinder und Jugendliche in so einer Situation konfrontiert werden und ob diese alters- und geschlechtsspezifisch sind. Im Anschluss daran werde ich mit Hilfe von zwei Studien von E. Mavis Hetherington und Judith Wallerstein und dem Psychoanalytiker Helmuth Figdor die möglichen Langzeitfolgen von Scheidungskindern aufzeigen. Zudem stellt sich die Frage, wie diesen Auswirkungen und auch möglichen Langzeitfolgen entgegengewirkt werden können und welche Hilfestellungen Eltern und auch den Kindern gegeben werden kann, um die Scheidung besser bewältigen zu können. Dazu möchte ich in meinem letzten Kapitel mögliche Hilfestellungen aufzeigen. Danach komme ich zu den Gruppeninterventionsprogrammen und zur Mediation. Am Ende gebe ich noch kurz einen Einblick über die Hilfe des Jugendamtes. Scheidung ist ein viel diskutiertes und aktuelles Thema in unserer Gesellschaft. Die Zahl der Ehescheidungen ist in der Tendenz steigend. 2012 wurden in Deutschland nach dem Statistischen Bundesamt 387.243 Ehen geschlossen. Die Anzahl der Scheidungen im Jahr 2012 liegt bei 179.147. Das sind ganze 46 % der geschlossenen Ehen in dem Jahr. Mit der Anzahl der Scheidungen steigt auch die Zahl der betroffenen Kinder. Unter den geschiedenen Ehen 2012 waren 88.863 minderjährige Kinder von einer Scheidung betroffen. Meine Arbeit möchte ich diesen betroffenen Kindern widmen, denn mit der Entwicklung der Scheidungsrate haben sich auch die Hilfemöglichkeiten für die Familien und deren Kinder entwickelt.

The authors of this collection seek to fill that gap in the ethnographic record by drawing attention to the deep historical attachments of island communities to rivers, and the ways in which those attachments are changing in response to various forms of economic development and social change.
