Millenniums ago, when man was still a nomadic traveler, herding his sheep, goats, horses, and camels, along with him, when he traveled in search for a more suitable dwelling, the milk obtained from milking his domestic animals was stored in leather bags. So as the story goes, one fine dawn two leather bags with lots of camels milk was stored on both sides of such a nomad’s saddle, and the tribe moved off towards richer horizons and pastures. By the time the journey was done at dusk, and the leather bags were taken off, so that the thirsty traveler could drink up deep and gratefully, he found that there was some solid portion accumulated on top of the liquid. The loping motion of the camel, throughout the day had churned and agitated the milk in such a manner, that the milk had turned into buttermilk, and with lots of delicious solid butter floating on top of it. Since then, mankind has blessed camels for adding another delicious, nourishing, healing food item to their daily meals. So this book is going to tell you all about how you can make fresh butter and buttermilk, as well as use it naturally and often, in order to heal yourself of a large number of ailments for which, otherwise, you would have taken the supposedly only other available option, of pills and other chemical-based drugs.

Book excerpt: Introduction Your State of Perpetual Dieting and Other Modern-Day Substitutes for Natural Products Heating and Pasteurization Buffaloes milk Mother’s Milk Colostrum When and How to Drink Milk Buttermilk The Buttermilk Cure When Is Diluted Buttermilk Not Drunk Conclusion Author Bio Publisher Introduction When I asked a number of my friends, why they had stopped drinking milk, they told me that the new dietary lifestyles, included not taking any milk products, egg products, animal protein products and so on. These particular friends, being of a fast expanding group, who want to try out anything exciting, be it a diet, a fad, or a trending With It dietary trend, naturally, they are going the right way to depriving their body of essential nutrients, just because everybody else is doing that. They stopped eating butter in the 60s. They stopped eating eggs in the 70s. They stopped eating animal fats and animal products in the 2000’s. They stopped eating dairy products and milk products in the 2010’s. They are substituting vitamin tablets for healthy, nourishing food items. They are eating dietary supplements, anything they can find in the market, because somebody is endorsing it. They have tried out all the diets, detoxification diets, Paleo diet, no carb diet, no fat diet, vegan diet, the whole lifetime diet or anything else which is being advertised extensively and expensively on the Internet. And then they are worried why their health does not seem to improve, but is going down day by day. How come they are getting to be more vulnerable to a large number of lifestyle diseases, some of which never existed as recently as hundred years ago? If you belong to that particular group, this book is for you. You may find some of the facts eye-opening and hard to digest, no pun intended, but if you have spent all your life not eating and drinking food and drink, because your doctors said so and he has put you on a perpetual diet for your own good, believe it, it is for his good and for the good of his bank balance. A doctor advising you to diet wants you to suffer from malnutrition and diseases brought about through deprivation of essential nutrients. In the 60s, there was a trend to stop eating butter, because the million-dollar margarine industry could not manage to get margarine sold extensively. After that, the diet free artificial butter manufacturers jumped into the limelight.

This milk is the main constituent of a number of other products like cheese, butter, yogurt, cottage cheese, and buttermilk. This book is going to tell you all about how you can use these products to cure a number of ailments. In ancient times, a man’s prosperity was counted by the number of livestock he had in his farm, including goats, sheep, cows, horses, and other such domesticated animals. That is why in ancient books, the milk of a cow has been described in such glowing terms – The spinal cord of a cow has a nerve called Sunlight in it. Whenever the Sun God showers his rays on the body of a cow grazing in the fields, the rays are turned into gold when they touch the nerve called sunlight. That is the reason why the butter and the milk you get from a cow is golden in color. Talk about imagination! But this is the reason why when the Celtic and Gaulic tribes left Britain during the Roman conquest, the women walked in front of the cows and horses in order to protect them! That means if any one tried stealing the cows away, they would have to go through the warrior women first! Traditionally, milk was drank fresh without heating. It is only nowadays that we pasteurize it in order to get rid of all the germs. The yellowish color, supposed to be gold from the rays of the sun [!] is nothing but fat globules in the milk. The white color of the milk is due to casein. This is rich in nourishing and nutritional calcium. That is the reason why growing children are given a glass full of milk morning and evening, so that they have strong bones, good teeth and a healthy constituency. Traditionally, it is believed that the best time to drink milk is in the early morning. According to the ancients, the milk was digested as the sun went up, taking with it the benefit of the rays of the sun. That is why milk and milk products were never given to members of the family during the evening hours. There is a scientific reason behind this belief. It takes about three hours for milk to digest. That is why, if you are drinking milk at night in order to sleep more peacefully, do not go to sleep, as soon as you drink the milk.

It seems he was a bit bored with his heavenly abode and decided to go exploring on the earth. Moreover, he kept staying on here, much to the dismay and surprise of all his friends, who missed him when they had feasts of nectar of immortality, and other heavenly delicacies. Therefore, they came hunting for him. And what did they find? He was sitting in the Hermitage of a saint and dining off fresh milk, butter and buttermilk. Moreover, just like Oliver, he wanted more. So the rest of the gods began to think that there was something here, rather special on this earth, which enticed a God away from Celestial spheres. Naturally, they demanded the rest of the members of the Hermitage to feed them exactly what that God was having. Yes, that one sitting over there with his hand in the clay earthenware pot, scooping out something white. In an attitude of contemplative and euphoric bliss. Well, yes, he is a God. You did not recognize him? Look at his feet. They do not touch the ground. Oh yes, ours do not touch the ground either. But then we are hungry for what he is eating. And so the gods discovered butter, and buttermilk, which they decided were the foods of the gods. However, they had to come to earth to eat it. That was because cows, buffaloes, goats and other milk bearing animals did not flourish so much in their lands. But they did on Mother Earth. Well, we are very lucky in one matter. Being thoroughly earthbound, we can indulge ourselves in butter, butter, milk, milk, and other milk products like cheese, cream cheese, and anything else of which you can think, to our hearts content. And if we have the pure stuff, that is going to help keep us healthy, and fighting fit. Did you know that Abraham said that it was butter and buttermilk, which gave him his longevity. Also, it was the reason why his tribe members were so fecund, when compared to other tribes. This belief is still held in the East, that a diet of homemade butter, and buttermilk drunk regularly every day keeps you healthy, virile and also potent.

Ishi takes it a step further when she says, 'We are not only what we eat, but what we digest-and what we DON'T eat!' In this book, she distils decades of experience and knowledge and combines it with the wisdom of the past to provide an insight into the science of the 4 Gs-Gut, Girth, Gluten and Glucose-and their connection with each other, so we can modify our eating habits and lifestyle in a permanent manner.
