By the crciAov, '/. or Ktvovpfvov are, as Kypke rightly notices, designated oKaraeraaiai et turbulentic harum commotiones et tumultus. There aeema, too, an allusion to Psalm Ixv. 7., where it is given as an attribute of God, that he " atilleth the raging of the sea, and the noiae of its waves, and the tumult of the people; " in which passage Aquila well renders, For (as Pise, rightly observes) what is there meant by strepitiu maris is explained by the following tremitus nationum.
