Deinet verweist in seinem Artikel „Zukunftsmodell Offene Kinder- und Jugendarbeit“ daraufhin, dass „das alte Konzept der offenen Arbeit, d.h. das Prinzip der Offenheit für alle und jeden, stilisiert im offenen Bereich eines jeden Jugendhauses, in dem sich alle Jugendlichen treffen sollen, schon lange an der Wirklichkeit vorbeigeht (Deinet).“ K. Mollenhauer, C.W. Müller, H. Kentler und H. Giesecke, Autoren der außerschulischen Jugendarbeit, fragten zudem Anfang der 60er Jahre „‚Was ist Jugendarbeit?‘ bzw. L. Böhnisch und R. Münchmeier Mitte der 80er Jahre ‚Wozu Jugendarbeit?‘, so scheint im Zuge fiskalpolitisch motivierter Überlegungen seit Mitte der 90er Jahre ‚Warum überhaupt noch Jugendarbeit?‘ zur alles entscheidenden Frage zu avancieren (Scherr/Thole, 1998 zit. n. Fimpler/Hannen, 2016).“ In meinen Betrachtungen zum Thema Offene Kinder- und Jugendarbeit möchte ich den beiden Aussagen wie auch den Fragen nachgehen und in einem abschließendem Fazit resümieren.

Zugleich wird die Gesellschaft auch immer digitaler und Sozialräume verschieben sich. Die Offene Kinder- und Jugendarbeit muss sich dem Wandel der Gesellschaft anpassen. Durch digitale Angebote, Informationen und durch die Nutzung der sozialen Medien kann es gelingen, die Lebenswelt der Zielgruppe zu begreifen. Die Sozialraumorientierung ist ein Bestandteil der Offenen Kinder- und Jugendarbeit. Deinet und Krisch zufolge ist die sozialräumliche Jugendarbeit als Grundverständnis zu begreifen. Weiter geht das Grundverständnis von den Sozialräumen und Lebenswelten der jungen Menschen aus und wird von den Fachkräften außerhalb der Sozialräume und Lebenswelten entwickelt. Ein weiterer zentraler Punkt des sozialräumlichen Grundverständnis der Offenen Kinder- und Jugendarbeit ist die nicht nur einrichtungsbezogene Arbeit, sondern auch das Interesse für die Räume der Zielgruppe ihrer ganzen Lebenswelten. Vor diesem Hintergrund könnte sich folgende Frage stellen: Wie kann die Digitalisierung in der Offenen Kinder- und Jugendarbeit sinnvoll und gewinnbringend eingesetzt werden und wie kann sich die klassische Offene Kinder- und Jugendarbeit mit einer Komm-Struktur durch sozialräumliche Ansätze verändern? Die Arbeit beginnt mit einer Begriffserklärung der wichtigsten Begriffe. Im Folgenden möchte ich mich zunächst den Grundlagen der Offenen Kinder- und Jugendarbeit widmen. Dabei werden zunächst der geschichtlichen Rahmen und die rechtlichen Grundlagen auf Bundes- und Landesebene skizziert. Anschließend geht es um die Zielgruppen des Arbeitsfeldes der Offener Kinder- und Jugendarbeit sowie um die theoretischen Ansätzen der Praxis. Zudem werden im Anschluss einige Handlungskonzepte sowie Methoden der Offenen Kinder- und Jugendarbeit skizzieren.

The 'spatial turn' has become an acknowledged term in interdisciplinary discourses. Although every practice of religious education is situated and contextually dependent, religious education (RE) research until now has not systematically paid attention to this fundamental insight. This volume is devoted specifically to clarifying the close relationship between RE practice and spatial and situational conditions. After clarifying the main concepts in Part 1, Part 2 includes chapters related to classroom studies, while Part 3 focuses on studies about teachers of religious education. Part 4 contains studies beyond the classroom, such as school chapels, churches, and 'inner space'. All contributions to this volume were developed in the context of the European Network for Religious Education through Contextual Approaches (ENRECA) which has focused recently on the central issue of space and place.

Abschließend werden ausblickend weitere Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten und Trends in diesem Arbeitsbereich aufgezeigt. Die Anfänge der Jugendarbeit waren weniger von Pädagogik und Bildungszielen geprägt. Sie hatten vor allem politischen Charakter. Bis heute gibt es keine einheitliche Definition zur offenen Kinder- und Jugendarbeit als einen Bereich der Kinder- und Jugendhilfe. Dies zeigt sich auch in dem sehr bunt aufgestellten Einrichtungsspektrum der offenen Jugendarbeit mit unterschiedlichen theoretischen und konzeptionellen Ausrichtungen, Konzepten und Angeboten. Wenn es keine einheitliche Theorie gibt, so gibt es doch eine fundamentale rechtliche Grundlage und damit einen klaren Rahmen, welcher Ziele und Prinzipien der offenen Kinder- und Jugendarbeit festlegt.
