Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ever wondered why secret societies are secret? Why is it that an overwhelming majority of elite leaders in America, including those who've occupied the highest office, have belonged to an organization in the vast network of secret societies, whose rituals and teachings derived from the ancient mystery schools of Egypt and Babylon? Why is death the penalty for breaking a secret society oath? Why do they pay homage to pagan gods and goddesses? Why do many self-proclaimed Christians belong to these secret societies, when their practices blatantly violate God’s Commandments, such as Exodus 20:3, which states, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me?" And why don’t their pastors say anything about it? Is there a secret motive behind the positive PR that many of these secret organizations receive for their good deeds such as feeding programs, scholarships, volunteering, youth mentoring, etc. that even the lower ranking members of these societies don’t know about? Could today’s network of these secret societies be the architects and workers of the antichrist' New World Order aka “Illuminati," as prophesied in the Holy Bible? These questions and more will be answered by author and Evangelist Rayford L. Johnson, who has spent more than 20 years researching, writing and teaching on the occult. Johnson has counseled and ministered demon deliverance prayers on many former members of the occult. Many of them have testified that they have been set free by the power of Jesus Christ from the spiritual torment and generational curses that the pagan rituals and oaths have unknowingly brought upon them and even their family through the “spiritual legalities” of breaking God’s commandments. “The Truth Shall Make You Free.” John 8:32 http://www.thugexposed.org

Book excerpt: Alexandra Robbins wanted to find out if the stereotypes about sorority girls were actually true, so she spent a year with a group of girls in a typical sorority. The sordid behavior of sorority girls exceeded her worst expectations -- drugs, psychological abuse, extreme promiscuity, racism, violence, and rampant eating disorders are just a few of the problems. But even more surprising was the fact that these abuses were inflicted and endured by intelligent, successful, and attractive women. Why is the desire to belong to a sorority so powerful that women are willing to engage in this type of behavior -- especially when the women involved are supposed to be considered 'sisters'? What definition of sisterhood do many women embrace? Pledged combines a sharp-eyed narrative with extensive reporting and the fly-on-the-wall voyeurism of reality shows to provide the answer.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Greek-English synopsis of parallel passages in the Pauline corpus and the Acts of the Apostles is an essential tool for studying the New Testament. "It has become fashionable in recent years to lay out parallels to Paul's writings. The value of being able to examine such parallels so conveniently--without having to use fingers, thumbs, spare pens, and bookmarks to maintain access to multiple passages at the same time--hardly needs to be stressed. This volume, however, provides also the Greek, with some indication of variant readings, which is much better for those who can handle the Greek and who don't want to be confused by varied translations or misled by any hidden agendas of translators." --James D. G. Dunn, University of Durham "We have long needed a thorough and up-to-date synopsis of the Pauline letters. The synopsis edited by James Ware does not limit itself to parallels in content but also explores parallel texts in terms of literary form and epistolary structure. This immensely practical tool is a vital resource for the study of the Pauline letters." --Thomas R. Schreiner, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary "Ware has produced an invaluable tool for beginning and more advanced students of Paul. Synopsis of the Pauline Letters in Greek and English provides a user-friendly way to view how Paul addresses similar concerns in different contexts, allowing ready access to how Paul formulates the ramifications of the good news as he addresses the needs of diverse congregations. When turning to the study of Paul, you will want to keep this volume within easy reach." --Joel B. Green, Fuller Theological Seminary "Synopsis of the Pauline Letters in Greek and English provides students, pastors, and scholars with a powerful tool for comparing the Pauline letters. While there are other Pauline synopses, this is the only one that employs the Greek text with a critical apparatus as well as an English translation. By bringing together groups of related passages, Ware's synopsis enables readers to see how the Pauline letters treat similar themes. This synopsis, which fills a long-standing need, is destined to become a standard tool for Pauline exegesis." --Frank J. Matera, The Catholic University of America (emeritus) "A wonderful resource that will delight and inform students and scholars alike. Simply reading it is an education in Paul's letters and theology! Using it carefully will provide endless opportunities to make connections and see new things. Every serious student of Paul should own it." --Michael J. Gorman, St. Mary's Seminary & University

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Expanded and revised edition of the first book devoted solely to black fraternity hazing. Are black men naturally violent? Do they define manhood in the same way as their counterparts across lines of race? Are black Greek-letter fraternities among the most dangerous student organizations on American college and university campuses? Can their often-dangerous initiation processes be stopped or even modified and, if not, what should be done about them? In this second edition of Black Haze, Ricky L. Jones takes on these questions and more. The first edition was an enlightening and sometimes disturbing examination of American men’s quest for acceptance, comfort, reaffirmation, and manhood in a world where their footing is often unstable. In this new edition Jones not only provides masterful philosophical and ethical analyses but he also forces the engagement of a terrifying real world process that damages and kills students with all too frequent regularity. With a revealing new preface and stunning afterword, Jones immerses the reader in an intriguing and dark world marked by hypermasculinity, unapologetic brutality, and sometimes death. He offers a compelling book that ranges well beyond the subject of hazing—one that yields perplexing questions and demands difficult choices as we move forward in addressing issues surrounding fraternities, violent hazing, black men, and American society. “Black Haze is a landmark study on hazing culture within black Greek-letter organizations. With an insider’s eye and scholar’s touch, Jones masterfully captures the emic contours, complexities, and contradictions of black fraternity hazing as ritual act and cultural practice. This text is at once rigorous and accessible, theoretical and practical, classic and urgent. Anyone interested in understanding hazing, masculinity, BGLOs, or black cultural practice must read this book!” — Marc Lamont Hill, coauthor of The Classroom and the Cell: Conversations on Black Life in America “Black Haze is a compelling survey of black Greek-letter organizations, their history, purpose, and their most damning traditions. This is an examination of how the virtues of brotherhood and civic service coexist with brutal violence and cruelty within some of the oldest organizations in black America. Professor Jones has produced a vital contribution about a crucial and enduring problem.” — William Jelani Cobb, author of The Substance of Hope: Barack Obama and the Paradox of Progress “Ricky Jones’s Black Haze is an important study of black male identity development. By examining black men’s relationship with fraternities, he uncovers larger and brilliantly penetrating insights into issues of masculinity and political identity among African American males in the post-civil rights era.” — Peniel E. Joseph, author of Waiting ’Til the Midnight Hour: A Narrative History of Black Power in America “Black Haze is a riveting coup de grâce against ritualized violence in black fraternities. The second edition of Black Haze is the most penetrating, illuminating, and articulate sociopolitical and cultural analysis of the chilling legacy of violence in black Greek-letter fraternities. As one of the world’s leading authorities on black masculinity and organizations, Ricky Jones intelligently confronts traditional verities, social norms, and myths that seek to justify and continue ritualized violence in black fraternities through the courageous prism of a reformed insider dedicated to the preservation of black dignity and life.” — Jeremy I. Levitt, author of Black Women and International Law: Deliberate Interactions, Movements and Actions Praise for the First Edition “ provides valuable insights into the reasoning behind hazing, a practice that extends into the realms of sports and even high school, and is relevant for not only fraternity members and officials, but the general public as well.” — The Griot “ an important contribution because of the skillful manner in which Jones incorporates and critically analyzes relevant literature and other related scholarly writings Jones, himself a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, offers personal observations as well as first-hand views and perceptions of hazing.” — Journal of College Student Development

Book excerpt: Written by some of the foremost typographic and book history scholars in the world such as Hermann Zapf, Nicolas Barker, and Nicolas Panayotakis, these essays bring to life the rich history and development of the Greek letter form: its role in the history of the printed word and civilization, the urgent need for quality modern fonts, and the challenges faced by the current and future realm of Greek type design. In response to these challenges, the Greek Font Society formed in 1992 to promote and design quality Greek fonts for printing and use on the computer screen. The Society also gathered some of the most respected professionals, designers, and scholars at the first International Symposium on the Evolution of the Greek Alphabet and published the papers presented on these topics, now contained in this volume, Greek Letters.

Book excerpt: In this book I am going to clearly identify what has eluded mankind for 2,000 years... The identity of The Beast and the religion behind it. The Bible declares that all mankind will worship this Beast at the end and that has come true as it is the largest religion on Earth and this beast is a false image of the true Messiah who we have elevated in our hearts as God above Yahuah. The Creator, Yahuah, who revealed Himself in The Bible, warns us that His Word would be mistranslated and altered by Jewish scribes and twisted by Greeks into ‘another gospel’ that abolishes His Law and we would be presented with an “image” of the Messiah that is false called The Lawless One.This book is an all out Biblical assault and condemnation of this false messianic image known as The Antichrist... The Beast has been revealed and now we can “see” the Abomination of Desolation. Have you committed it! It is not too late to overcome it and rededicate the altar of your heart back to the one true God. In this book I am going to clearly identify what has eluded mankind for 2,000 years… The identity of the Beast and the religion behind it. The Bible declares that all mankind will worship the Beast at the end of 6,000 years. This has come true as the religion of this “beast” is the largest religion on Earth. The god of this “beast” is a false image of the true Messiah whom we have elevated in our hearts as God incarnate above Yahuah our Creator. The Beast (Greek: Θηρίον, Thērion) refers to two beasts described in the Book of Revelation as together they form the “god” and the religion behind this false god. The first beast comes from "out of the sea" and is given authority and power by the dragon. We are going to clearly identify the first beast and second beast and the dragon or ‘spirit behind the Beast’. The second beast comes from "out of the earth" and directs all peoples of the Earth to worship the first beast. The second beast is described in Revelation 13:11-18. The second beast is also referred to as the false prophet. The false prophet is not a physical man but rather the religious system that evolved around the worship of the first beast. This religious system is identified as Mystery Babylon b John and associated with Rome by Peter. The two beasts are aligned with the dragon in opposition to the Creator Yahuah and the Messiah Yahusha. This beastly system is another gospel built around the religion that evolved out of Babylon. As I explain in my first 3 books (Creation Cries Out!, Babylon the religion of the Beast, and Christianity the Great Deception) this religion is defined by its rituals which are opposed to the rituals defined by Yahuah in the Bible. Our Creator, Yahuah, who revealed Himself in The Bible, warns us that His word would be altered by translators and scribes then twisted by Greeks into ‘another gospel’. A false gospel that teaches that the Law was abolished and presents us with an “image” of the Messiah that is false. This false image of the true Messiah is called The Lawless One. You see, all humanity worships a false messiah and those who follow this false image of the true Messiah call him by a pagan name. They are addressing him by a name that literally means ‘Earthy Pig’ and gives glory to another god. They never knew his true name and they abolished the Law/Will of Yahuah and followed the Lawless One! Humanity has committed what the Bible calls the Transgression of Desolation which is the transgression of The Creator’s Feasts, Torah, and Sabbaths. This world-wide transgression causes the desolation of this planet and almost everyone on it. We call this the Great Tribulation when the Earth and its inhabitants must pay for abolishing the Law of Yahuah. The Great Tribulation is not caused by “the Antichrist committing the Abomination of Desolation” as we are taught in Christianity. The Great Tribulation is caused by the inhabitants of Earth committing the Rav Sha’ul Transgression of Desolation as we have believed in The Lawless One.

In this case, they are inconsequential, but they can cause adverse health effects when they become intense enough. This topic is complex and sensitive. Covering frequencies from 0 Hz to 300 GHz, Human Exposure to Electromagnetic Fields provides an overview of this vast topic. After a reminder of the concepts of electromagnetic fields, the author presents some examples of sources of radiation in daily life and in the industrial or medical sectors. The biophysical and biological effects of these fields on the human body are detailed and the exposure limits are recalled. The exposure assessment and the implementation of the appropriate regulation within companies are also covered. Technically and practically, this book is aimed at people with a scientific background, risk prevention actors, health physicians, especially occupational doctors, and equipment designers.
