Whether it's a financial crisis, a health crisis, or a relationship crisis, where are you turning to? As a believer, if we are being honest, most will turn to Google before God. If so, then truly, where is your trust? This book addresses this modern dilemma head-on, highlighting the importance of relying on God's Word, especially in times of crisis. It explores the profound impact of instant information access on our faith and spiritual resilience. While it's convenient to google a Bible verse in a moment of need, true strength and endurance comes from a deeper connection with Scripture. This book offers a compelling argument for returning to the roots of our faith and rediscovering the power of God's Word. The heart of this book lies in the last few hours Jesus spent with His disciples, as chronicled in the Gospel of John, in chapters 14, 15, and 16. These precious moments contain essential tools for surviving life's most challenging trials and tribulations. From Jesus's teachings, this book provides a step-by-step guide to facing any crisis with unwavering faith. Through a thoughtful and insightful exploration of these biblical passages, readers will gain the knowledge and understanding needed to confront emergencies, doubts, and unbelief head-on. Google? God? Where to Search in a Crisis! equips Christians with a solid foundation for overcoming devastating life emergencies, offering hope, guidance, and a renewed connection to their faith. This book is a must-read for anyone seeking to deepen their spiritual resilience, trust in God's Word, and find strength in times of crisis. It challenges us to reevaluate where we place our trust and provides a road map for navigating life's storms with unwavering faith in God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Knowing the signs of the times, and how then to live as people of faith, has never been more pressing for the church. Though many of the signs are disturbing, we ignore them at our great peril. Combining the very best attributes of a biblical prophet and a modern-day reporter, James Emery White offers a look at twenty-five realities facing the church--in the areas of belief, culture, marriage and family, media and technology, and mission--and how they affect us as individuals and as a body of believers. Functioning as both a telescope and a microscope, this hard-hitting examination of the future of the church looks into the vastness of the world and into the minute recesses of our hearts. White calls on thoughtful readers to sharpen their spiritual drive and determination in order to meet the challenges of our day--and the future. He calls us to look beyond the daily conflicts in order to see the much larger war in which we are engaged, so that we might play our vital role in preserving and growing Christ's church in the coming age.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Pastors’ Diaries was written to help pastors recognize that some of their most private and convicting thoughts and challenging circumstances are not unique to them. It’s designed to help pastors navigate these overwhelming situations with the resource of actual lived experiences that have led to massive failures or amazing triumphs. Throughout the book you will read detailed accounts as communicated by the pastors sharing intimate details of their pastoral journey, much of which has never been shared in a public format. Real people and real stories fill these pages, some of them are unbelievable and hilarious while others may leave you in tears heartbroken and bewildered at how the body of Christ could survive this long with this much dysfunction. With the increasing suicide rate of pastors, the mass exodus of pastors from the pastorate, the porn addiction of pastors and the shear depression of pastors being so alarming, something must be said and done to challenge the trajectory of this epidemic. I pray that this book will validate the Pressure, Pain, Pride, Power, Passion, and Pedestal a Pastor experiences and also give them the freedom to take the steps necessary to respond to these situations and Persevere from them in healthy ways. Another goal of this book is to help the church member have a better understanding of the person that sits in that middle chair and stand behind that sacred podium so they can have realistic expectations of the human they’ve empowered to shepherd them and as a result, learn how to love them appropriately. Coincidentally, they will discover that no one in all of church has experienced more offenses than the ones called to lead and yet they have in most cases remained faithful and in place until God decided to move them.

This book was released on 2018-01-11 with total page 111 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I began to write it all down when I was on Mount Athos, during a period of complete solitude, while staying at the kathisma or monastic dwelling of St John the Theologian, near the small harbour of Simonopetra Monastery. I completed it later when I was staying on the island of the same St John, on Patmos, in Kouvari. Both, places of quietude and spiritual seclusion. Places of prayer. In all I only needed a few days. My sole companion was the noble disciple of love, St John. The one who truly loved and was indeed loved by Christ. The text would only be the fruit of love and quietude; it is a fruit of the desert. I would say the fruit of prayer, but I fear that this might be considered an exaggeration. The questions – I chose one hundred to make a round number – and the dialogues are all authentic. The people are also real, although of course the names have been changed. On the other hand I have not recorded the whole discussion, but I have selected certain questions. All this is not so important. What really matters is for human nature and the person of the true God to be revealed clearly and truly through the whole discussion. Nothing else in this life matters more.

Book excerpt: IN PLAIN SIGHT SEARCHING FOR A MORE EXCELLENT WAY, addresses the ongoing exodus from western churches. Census records remind us there are two to three times more Christians than go to church. Interestingly, the increase of Christianity in third world countries is remarkable. Western churches are suffering a massive dislocation from both society and from Christianity in general. What is suggested in this book is exactly the sort of process God enables/allows while preparing the next stage of a grand plan in the drama of human redemption. We must search for a more excellent way. Tolerant Spirit is paramount in hearing the voice of the Spirit along the spiritual journey. IN PLAIN SIGHT extends the sacred conversation to all fellow travelers aspiring to discover or regain their spiritual compasses in being faithful to a true and living God who rules and reigns beyond our many fallible conceptions of divine governance in the world, and the interaction of divine initiative and human responsibility. The problem of forging a new paradigm in the churches for a new age is a sacred conversation about rethinking divine activity and personal and corporate faithfulness. We must become much more intentional about developing a theology of grace which thoroughly encompasses serious crises and problems of all spiritual pilgrims, travelers, and persons of sincere faith.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides a theology for social crisis preaching by arguing that Christian proclamation is the best prescription for the social crises in our world. Social Crisis Preaching positions the pastor as a sacred anthropologist, one who is aware of both the crises in one’s community, but also as one who has a firm understanding of the people in the pews. It also equips the preacher with both the hermeneutical and homiletical tools to confront social crisis with biblical integrity. Lastly, this book argues that social crisis preaching develops Christians disciples and congregations, as those who care about and confront the social crisis in their neighbor’s community, following the biblical mandate to “love your neighbor as yourself.”
