Yet at the same time we can see great success stories around us from many online endeavours and none more so than Google, as the World's Market Leader in Advertising. Many dream of great success online and often wish if only they could share in the Google phenomena of the countless $$$$$ billions made. So I ask you, have you ever really thought of how you can share in that Google Magic! This book has been written for every web site owner. By following the fundamental key golden rules in this book, you will find your web site traffic and customer sales growing, as your web site will soon become a friend to both Search and Browser rendering engines. Quotation: "Natural Law and Quantum Mechanics teaches us about the Universal Laws of creation and at the very heart of this miracle for all life is "refinement of design and efficiency"'. So I often ask myself, why is it that the human race often tries to over complicate, when the ultimate goal is always to seek simplistic perfection." ~ Alastair R Agutter Based on detailed research, helping to improve performance of over 94% of all web sites world-wide. By following some key golden rules and simple jargon free steps in this book, webmasters will see far higher search engine ranking results on Google, Yahoo and Bing etc. Your web site will render 3 to 4 times faster for your new visitors. This book was released on 2022-07-21 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Every literary household in nineteenth-century Britain had a commonplace book, scrapbook, or album. Coleridge called his collection "Fly-Catchers", while George Eliot referred to one of her commonplace books as a "Quarry," and Michael Faraday kept quotations in his "Philosophical Miscellany." Nevertheless, the nineteenth-century commonplace book, along with associated traditions like the scrapbook and album, remain under-studied. This book tells the story of how technological and social changes altered methods for gathering, storing, and organizing information in nineteenth-century Britain. As the commonplace book moved out of the schoolroom and into the home, it took on elements of the friendship album. At the same time, the explosion of print allowed readers to cheaply cut-and-paste extractions rather than copying out quotations by hand. Built on the evidence of over 300 manuscripts, this volume unearths the composition practices of well-known writers such as Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Sir Walter Scott, George Eliot, and Alfred Lord Tennyson, and their less well-known contemporaries. Divided into two sections, the first half of the book contends that methods for organizing knowledge developed in line with the period's dominant epistemic frameworks, while the second half argues that commonplace books helped Romantics and Victorians organize people. Chapters focus on prominent organizational methods in nineteenth-century commonplacing, often attached to an associated epistemic virtue: diaristic forms and the imagination (Chapter Two); "real time" entries signalling objectivity (Chapter Three); antiquarian remnants, serving as empirical evidence for historical arguments (Chapter Four); communally produced commonplace books that attest to socially constructed knowledge (Chapter Five); and blank spaces in commonplace books of mourning (Chapter Six). Richly illustrated, this book brings an archive of commonplace books, scrapbooks, and albums to the reader.

Book excerpt: Leadership teams taking the reins of government in 2017 will have to overcome the demoralizing effects of years of budget deficits, a heavy loss of talent, frequent criticism, and mounting pressure to ‘do more with less,’ all of which have contributed to declining interest in public sector careers and deteriorating performance. Over the past twenty years there has been a widening gulf between the “people management” practices in the private and public sectors. Change is badly needed but it does not have to start by canceling existing civil service rules. This book argues for rethinking the way public employees are managed. The changes will contribute to a healthier, more productive work environment that once again enables public agencies to attract and motivate a highly qualified workforce. Written by leading experts with decades of experience as managers and consultants, It's Time for High Performance Government provides executives, managers, and elected officials at all levels practical advice to improve government performance.

One stands out: The Broadview Guide to Writing is published in an elegant but simple format, and sells for roughly half the price of its fancier-looking competitors. For the sixth edition the coverage of MLA, APA, Chicago, and CSE styles of documentation has been substantially expanded as well as updated. Also expanded is coverage of academic argument; of writing and critical thinking; of writing about literature, of paragraphing; of how to integrate quoted material into one’s own work; of balance and parallelism; and of issues of gender, race, religion etc. in writing. The chapter “Seeing and Meaning: Reading (and Writing About) Visual Images” is entirely new. The online materials—including the selection of interactive exercises—have also been revised considerably.

Book excerpt: "Philip Delves Broughton abandoned a post as Paris bureau chief of the London Daily Telegraph to join nine hundred other would-be tycoons on HBS's plush campus. Over the next two years, he and his classmates would be inundated with the best - and the rest - of American business culture that HBS epitomizes. The core of the school's curriculum is the "case" - an analysis of a real business situation from which the students must, with a professor's guidance, tease lessons. The author studied more than five hundred cases and recounts the most revelatory ones here. He also exposes the less savory trappings of b-school culture, from the "booze luge" to the pandemic obsession with PowerPoint to the specter of depression, which stalks many overburdened students. With acute and often uproarious candor, he assesses the school's success at teaching the traits it extols as most important in business - leadership, decisiveness, ethical behavior, work/life balance."--BOOK JACKET.
