Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Work hard and become a leader. Don't be lazy. Make good use of everything that God has given you and respect your love, everybody, that is the only way we can get to heaven. And always love your enemies and forgive them and pray for them. Don't make excuses for what you are called to do, just do it. Always put God first in everything you do. Always be obedient to God, and he will pour you out a blessing you wouldn't have room to receive. Work hard at everything you do. Be careful what you say because life and death is in the power of the tongue. Have faith in God and trust him. God want us to be right with him. God saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Ask God for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Have a relationship with God. He knew you from start to finish. He know you if anything you want to know ask God, don't ask people. People will tell you anything. Don't believe man, believe God; we are the apple of God's eye. He loves us. Following Christ, you will be persecuted. Jesus said be of good cheer because he has overcome the world. We must have faith, trusting in God and believe that God is going to do exactly what he says. God will do what he said he will do. I am a living witness.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is no escaping the fact that the Bible is dogmatically pro-child. In fact, it declares unapologetically that the birth of many children is a source of blessing, that a key reason for marriage is to bring forth many children for the glory of God, and that parents should actively seek such blessings. But if this is true, why do so many Christian married couples choose to cut off their seed? What, if any, biblical basis exists for deliberately thwarting the birth of children? Is it ever good stewardship to prevent children on the basis of financial concerns? These and related questions are examined in the light of Scripture in this groundbreaking study guide.

Book excerpt: New York Times bestseller What is Jesus worth to you? It's easy for American Christians to forget how Jesus said his followers would actually live, what their new lifestyle would actually look like. They would, he said, leave behind security, money, convenience, even family for him. They would abandon everything for the gospel. They would take up their crosses daily... But who do you know who lives like that? Do you? In Radical, David Platt challenges you to consider with an open heart how we have manipulated the gospel to fit our cultural preferences. He shows what Jesus actually said about being his disciple--then invites you to believe and obey what you have heard. And he tells the dramatic story of what is happening as a "successful" suburban church decides to get serious about the gospel according to Jesus. Finally, he urges you to join in The Radical Experiment -- a one-year journey in authentic discipleship that will transform how you live in a world that desperately needs the Good News Jesus came to bring.

But does it ever feel like others are blessed while you're stuck? With honesty and warmth, Alan Wright shares his inspiring journey from craving blessing to living the blessed life. The absence of his father's affirmation left him struggling for years with symptoms of the unblessed life: shame, pretense, and drift. But when he grasped the most powerful blessing in the Old Testament--the mysterious, ancient blessing of Ephraim and Manasseh--he learned how to receive blessing and how to bless the lives of his loved ones. And you can too. With biblical insight and practical wisdom, The Power to Bless shows you how to craft a positive, faith-filled blessing. By learning a few simple, biblical skills for imparting life-changing blessings, you'll be more spiritually blessed than you'd ever imagined, and you'll be equipped with the power to bless the people you love.

Book excerpt: Parenting is a school for spiritual formation, says author Gary Thomas, and our children are our teachers. The journey of caring for, rearing, training, and loving our children profoundly alters us forever…even when the journey is sometimes a rough one. Sacred Parenting is unlike any other parenting book on the market. This is not a “how-to” book that teaches readers the ways to discipline their kids or help them achieve their full potential. Instead of a discussion about how parents change their children, Sacred Parenting turns the tables and demonstrates how God uses children to change their parents. Stepping beyond the overly-tilled soil of method books, parents can learn a whole new side of parenting. They’ll be encouraged by stories that tell how other parents handled the challenges and difficulties of being a parent—and how their children transformed their relationship with God. The lessons the author writes about are timeless. But in this edition, Thomas adds in some additional insights and stories that he’s learned and lived over the past fifteen years of his own parenting. Gary has found that the lessons have remained much the same but there are new applications for the readers in this generation who are just now coming to his book.

Book excerpt: We want to live loving, joyful, anxiety-free lives. Yet how can we live in grace when we’re so busy battling our old patterns of behavior? Jerry Bridges explores the nine aspects of the “fruit of the Spirit” described in Galatians 5:22-23: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These qualities of character can truly mark our lives if we devote ourselves to a twofold pursuit: God-centeredness and God-likeness. Jerry shows us how to practice the fruit in daily life. When The Fruitful Life first released, Jerry said, “It was the book I had wanted to write that included everything I forgot and/or learned since The Pursuit of Holiness.”

Book excerpt: "Be Fruitful And Multiply" is a fresh and forward look at how we as believers, have not only been commanded to prosper by God (mind, body, and soul), but have equally been designed and equipped by Him to do so. During the course of this book we'll discuss God's incredible revelation of pregnancy, and how it relates to us given birth to our full potential. Yes! I said 'our', because God's perfect intent is not to bless everyone else and leave you out. However, there is a process to becoming spiritually pregnant, just as there is a process to becoming naturally pregnant. As you read this book I believe that the revelation will speak directly to you, the reader, to get up and participate with God's plan for your life. This is not to discourage you, or to make you feel ashamed, on the contrary, it speaks directly to you in order to inspire you to show greatness. Some of the questions that this book will address are: "What is my purpose?", "Can I make it through this pain?", "Am I waiting on God or is God waiting on me?", "When is the right time to get pregnant?", and "Is ministry just preaching?" If you have asked yourself any or all of these questions, then without a doubt you will want to read this book in its entirety. Now, let's go forward and participate with God, believing big and doing big, because truly, nothing just happens, especially birth. "Be Fruitful And Multiply"

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this groundbreaking and insightful new commentary, one of the world's leading biblical scholars unveils the unity and continuity of the Torah for the modern reader. Richard Elliott Friedman, the bestselling author of Who Wrote the Bible?, integrates the most recent discoveries in biblical archaeology and research with the fruits of years of experience studying and teaching the Bible to illuminate the straightforward meaning of the text -- "to shed new light on the Torah and, more important, to open windows through which it sheds its light on us." While other commentaries are generally collections of comments by a number of scholars, this is a unified commentary on the Torah by a single scholar, the most unified by a Jewish scholar in centuries. It includes the original Hebrew text, a new translation, and an authoritative, accessibly written interpretation and analysis of each passage that remains focused on the meaning of the Torah as a whole, showing how its separate books are united into one cohesive, all-encompassing sacred literary masterpiece. This landmark work is destined to take its place as a classic in the libraries of lay readers and scholars alike, as we seek to understand the significance of the scriptural texts for our lives today, and for years to come.
