This book was released on 1996 with total page 154 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: AVEC L'EMERGENCE DE LA TECHNIQUE ATM TANT DANS LE DOMAINE DES RESEAUX ETENDUS QUE DANS CELUI DES RESEAUX LOCAUX D'ENTREPRISE, DE NOMBREUX SERVICES EN MODE NON CONNECTE ONT ETE RECEMMENT DEFINIS SUR DES RESEAUX UTILISANT CE MODE DE TRANSFERT.

This book was released on 1998 with total page 245 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LA THESE ADRESSE LA PROBLEMATIQUE DU TRANSPORT DE TRAFIC ORIENTE SANS CONNEXION, NOTAMMENT DU TRAFIC IP, SUR DES CONNEXIONS ATM OU LA GESTION DES RESSOURCES EST PAR NATURE DIFFERENTE. NOUS PRESENTONS DES MECANISMES DE GESTION DYNAMIQUE DE LA BANDE PASSANTE AYANT POUR OBJECTIF DE PERMETTRE L'OPTIMISATION DES RESSOURCES DU RESEAU AINSI QUE DE GARANTIR LA QUALITE DE SERVICE REQUISE PAR LES APPLICATIONS. LES MECANISMES SE BASENT SUR L'OBSERVATION DE L'ACTIVITE DU TRAFIC IP DE LA SOURCE POUR ADAPTER DYNAMIQUEMENT LE DEBIT DES CONNEXIONS ATM. LES MECANISMES ASSUMENT L'UTILISATION DE PROTOCOLES DE L'UIT-T EN ASSOCIATION AVEC LES CAPACITES DE TRANSFERT ATM DBR OU ABT-DT MAIS ILS N'EXCLUENT PAS L'UTILISATION D'AUTRES PROTOCOLES DE CONTROLE DE RESSOURCES TELS QUE LE PROTOCOLE RSVP. L'ALGORITHME TBA (ALGORITHME A SEUILS DISCRETISES), EST BASE SUR L'OBSERVATION DE FRANCHISSEMENTS DE SEUILS DANS LA FILE D'ATTENTE DE L'UNITE D'INTERFONCTIONNEMENT IP/ATM. LE PMA (ALGORITHME DE MODIFICATION PERIODIQUE), AMELIORE LES LIMITATIONS INHERENTES DU MECANISME TBA. IL MET EN UVRE UNE POLITIQUE D'ATTRIBUTION DES DEBITS DIFFERENTE ASSOCIEE A DES OBSERVATIONS PERIODIQUES DU CONTENU DE LA FILE D'ATTENTE. LA COMBINAISON DE CERTAINES FONCTIONNALITES DU TBA ET DU PMA DONNE LIEU A LA DEFINITION DE L'ALGORITHME HYBRIDE A SEUILS DISCRETISE APPELE LE DTBA. LES PERFORMANCES DES ALGORITHMES ONT ETE TESTEES PAR DES METHODES DE SIMULATION A EVENEMENTS DISCRETS. L'ALGORITHME ICREA (ALGORITHME D'ESTIMATION DU DEBIT CELLULAIRE INSTANTANE) SE BASE SUR L'OBSERVATION DES VARIATIONS DU DEBIT INSTANTANE DU TRAFIC DE LA SOURCE ET A ABOUTIT A UNE IMPLEMENTATION ET EXPERIMENTATION EN GRANDEUR NATURE ENTRE LE SITE DU CNET A LANNION ET LE SITE DU CSELT A TURIN DANS LE CADRE DU PROJET DASL2 (DISTRIBUTED ATM HIGH SPEED LAB. PHASE 2). UNE ANALYSE COMPARATIVE RENSEIGNE DANS QUELLES CONDITIONS ET POUR QUEL TYPE DE MECANISME DE GESTION DYNAMIQUE PROPOSE, UNE CAPACITE DE TRANSFERT ATM DONNEE EST MIEUX ADAPTEE.

Download or read book METHODES DE CONTROLE DE FLUX DANS LES RESEAUX ATM written by HYEOG-IN.. KWON and published by . This book was released on 1993 with total page 151 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: UNE DES RAISONS POUR LAQUELLE L'ATM A ETE CHOISIE COMME LE MODE DE TRANSFERT POUR LE RNIS-LB EST LE GAIN ECONOMIQUE QUE L'ON PEUT OBTENIR GRACE AU MULTIPLEXAGE STATISTIQUE. CEPENDANT, LE MULTIPLEXAGE STATISTIQUE DE TRAFIC EN RAFALE PEUT PROVOQUER DES PROBLEMES DE CONGESTION. LES TRAVAUX DU CCITT, VISANT A MINIMISER CETTE CONGESTION ET MAXIMISER LE TAUX D'UTILISATION DU RESEAU TOUT EN GARANTISSANT LA QUALITE DE SERVICE SPECIFIEE PAR UTILISATEUR, ONT ABOUTI A LA DEFINITION DE FONCTIONS DE GESTION DE TRAFIC COMME LE CONTROLE D'ADMISSION D'UNE CONNEXION ET LE CONTROLE DES PARAMETRES D'UTILISATION ET DE RESEAU. MAIS, DES CONGESTIONS PEUVENT QUAND MEME ARRIVER PAR LA SUPERPOSITION DE DIFFERENT TRAFIC MEME SI CHAQUE SOURCE RESPECTE SON CONTRAT DE TRAFIC. DANS CETTE THESE, UN NOUVEAU MECANISME DE CONTROLE DE FLUX DENOMME RCT EST DEVELOPPE. CE MECANISME PERMET DE REAGIR A DES CONGESTIONS BRUTALES ET A POUR FONCTION DE CONTROLER LE DEBIT DE BOUT EN BOUT. LES PERFORMANCES DU MECANISME RCT SONT ACCEPTABLES QUAND LA PERIODE DE CONGESTION MOYENNE EST BORNEE. CEPENDANT, QUAND LES CARACTERISTIQUES DU TRAFIC SONT INCONNUES ET LES TAUX D'ARRIVEES SONT TROP VARIABLES, LE CONTROLE REACTIF DU DEBIT APRES UNE CONGESTION DANS UN NUD INTERMEDIAIRE EST DIFFICILE A REALISER POUR RESOUDRE LE PROBLEME. UNE AUTRE METHODE DE CONTROLE DE FLUX DANS UN RESEAU D'USAGER EST ETUDIEE POUR AMELIORER L'UTILISATION DU RESEAU ATM ET, PLUS PRECISEMENT, L'UTILISATION DES TRAJETS VIRTUELS. CETTE METHODE SE SITUE ENTRE LES TERMINAUX ET LE POINT D'ACCES A UN VPC (VIRTUAL PATH CONNECTION), LUI MEME LOCALISE AU NIVEAU DU NT2-LB (TERMINAISON DE RESEAU 2 POUR LE RNIS-LB)

Book Synopsis Building Wireless Community Networks by : Rob Flickenger
Download or read book Building Wireless Community Networks written by Rob Flickenger and published by "O'Reilly Media, Inc.". This book was released on 2003 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Building Wireless Community Networks is about getting people online using wireless network technology. The 802.11b standard (also known as WiFi) makes it possible to network towns, schools, neighborhoods, small business, and almost any kind of organization. All that's required is a willingness to cooperate and share resources. The first edition of this book helped thousands of people engage in community networking activities. At the time, it was impossible to predict how quickly and thoroughly WiFi would penetrate the marketplace. Today, with WiFi-enabled computers almost as common as Ethernet, it makes even more sense to take the next step and network your community using nothing but freely available radio spectrum. This book has showed many people how to make their network available, even from the park bench, how to extend high-speed Internet access into the many areas not served by DSL and cable providers, and how to build working communities and a shared though intangible network. All that's required to create an access point for high-speed Internet connection is a gateway or base station. Once that is set up, any computer with a wireless card can log onto the network and share its resources. Rob Flickenger built such a network in northern California, and continues to participate in network-building efforts. His nuts-and-bolts guide covers: Selecting the appropriate equipment Finding antenna sites, and building and installing antennas Protecting your network from inappropriate access New network monitoring tools and techniques (new) Regulations affecting wireless deployment (new) IP network administration, including DNS and IP Tunneling (new) His expertise, as well as his sense of humor and enthusiasm for the topic, makes Building Wireless Community Networks a very useful and readable book for anyone interested in wireless connectivity.

This study also seeks to explain why national flag-carriers have survived in an age of globalization and strategic alliances. A concluding chapter views the contrasting American air transport industry.
Book Synopsis Arctic Shipping by : Frédéric Lasserre
Download or read book Arctic Shipping written by Frédéric Lasserre and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2019-09-05 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book considers both the present state of Arctic shipping and possible future trends with reference to the various sectors of maritime transportation: cruise tourism, container traffic and bulk shipping. Ports are analysed as tools that support the strategies of coastal states to foster the development of resource extraction, enhance the attractiveness of Arctic shipping lanes and enable the control of maritime activities through coast guard deployment. The aim of this book is to draw a picture of the trends of Arctic shipping. How is traffic evolving in Canada’s Arctic, or along the Northern Sea Route? Are there significant differences between bulk and container shipping segments when considering the Arctic market? How are the ports and the hinterland developing and what are the strategies behind those? How is the legal framework shaping the evolution of maritime transportation? The contributors to this book consider all of these questions, and more, as they map out the prospects for Arctic shipping and analyse in detail the development of Arctic shipping as a result of multi-variable interactions. This book will be key reading for industry professionals and post-graduate students alike.
Book Synopsis Archives in Liquid Times by : Frans Smit
Download or read book Archives in Liquid Times written by Frans Smit and published by . This book was released on 2017 with total page 326 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Archives in Liquid Times aims to broaden and deepen the thinking about archives in today's digital environment. It is a book that tries to fuel the debate about archives in different fields of research. It shows that in these liquid times, archives need and deserve to be considered from different angles. Archives in Liquid Times is a publication in which archival science is linked to philosophy (of information) and data science. Not only do the contributors try to open windows to new concepts and perspectives, but also to new uses of existing concepts concerning archives. The articles in this book contain philosophical reflections, speculative essays and presentations of new models and concepts alongside well-known topics in archival theory. Among the contributors are scholars from different fields of research, like Anne Gilliland, Wolfgang Ernst, Geoffrey Yeo, Martijn van Otterlo, Charles Jeurgens and Geert-Jan van Bussel. This book includes interviews with Luciano Floridi and Eric Ketelaar, in which they reflect on key issues arising from the contributions. The editors are Frans Smit, Arnoud Glaudemans and Rienk Jonker.
