La presente investigación tiene como propósito fundamental destacar la importancia que tiene el gerente inteligente (GI) como protagonista en la implementación y desarrollo de las nuevas tecnologías de información y comunicación (TIC) dentro de las organizaciones educativas, ya que la presencia de las mismas son indispensables para el perfeccionamiento y modernización, su desarrollo permitirá evaluar de forma continua la información organizacional, además se podrá fijar objetivos bien definidos, tomar decisiones por medio del uso de la información bien estructurada, establecer objetivos fundamentados en el conocimiento tratado por medio de las nuevas TIC, que permitirán establecer una visión y misión que respondan a las necesidades de las metas organizacionales y comunitarias. Precisemos antes que nada, que los cambios producto del desarrollo de las TIC son vertiginosos y afectan directamente a las organizaciones educativas en cada uno de los niveles en lo referente: competitividad, actualización, calidad, y adaptabilidad de la organización, ante los nuevos cambios, de modo pues, que es imprescindible la presencia del GI, el cual es capaz de prever los cambios, desarrollar planes, establecer objetivos adecuados a las novedades tecnológicas de información y comunicación, y además su actitud lo posibilitan a desarrollar estrategias que permitan la subsistencia de las organizaciones educativas en el tiempo histórico que le corresponde desarrollarse Por otra, se muestran los parámetros o características que debe poseer el gerente inteligente educativo para poder cumplir cabalmente con el rol gerencial que desempeña, que le permitan alcanzar los propósitos y planes educativos, así mismo, se muestran las herramientas que desde el punto de vista cognoscitivo le permiten al GI la aceptación y adaptación a los cambios que vertiginosamente están ocurriendo en la sociedad del conocimiento, en relación al desarrollo e implementación de las nuevas tecnologías de información y comunicación dentro de las organizaciones escolares.
