Most of the corners along the lines traversed were readily found and fa1r1v well marked. It is to be regretted, however, that some of the monu ments or corner stakes and markings are not of a more durable char acter and in a more permanent form. The well-established lines of this new land survey formed an excellent base for the horizontal con trol Of the map here presented. These lines have been plotted accord ing to the standard polyconic projection, with due allowance for con vergence and curvature for the scale adopted at the given latitude.
