Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do we as Christians know the probable locations of the Crucifixion? My personal experience leading to Skull Hill known as Golgotha outlines the events which have led me to become involved with efforts to save Golgotha. Many years ago I experienced a dream about the Crucifixion. I saw the bodies of Jesus and the two thieves as they were being carried away from the cross. A band of angels sang a mournful dirge: "Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who stonest the Prophets, Jerusalem, who crucified My Son." I saw the carpenter remove the nails, one of which he handed to me. I woke up seeing the blood of Jesus on my hands. I cried like a baby with the realization that He died for me. After having this vision, I had a deep desire to visit Israel. During my first trip to Jerusalem, I made three visits to Golgotha. I was concerned with the condition of this site. It was choked with the sounds, smells, and appearance of the Jerusalem bus station. On the east side there was new construction of a mosque with two minarets. My heart burned with a desire to do something to restore this Christian holy site. Subsequent trips led me to meet with representatives of major branches of Israeli government. One of many of our goals is the repair and or replacement of the Stone Face which was destroyed during a recent storm. I believe that we must concentrate our efforts on worldwide education to reverse the desecration of this holy site. The Golgotha Foundation is continuing our efforts to "open the eyes of the world" to see the place of our Savior's death. We will be blessed and our faith increased when we look upon the place where Jesus the Christ, Yeshua ha Machiach, was crucified.

Book excerpt: MAYBE IT’S TIME YOU LEARNED THE TRUTH ABOUT THE TRUE LOCATION OF WHERE CHRIST WAS CRUCIFIED… Warning! This book will challenge your understanding as to where Jesus Christ was crucified. Known for his detective approach to Bible archaeology, Bob Cornuke sets aside the emotionally held traditions of the past that may have obscured the pathway to truth and opens the door to a whole new way of finding the Biblical site of the crucifixion. By using the compass of solid evidence, Bob charts a course for discovery that will thrill the willing Bible explorer who is on a quest for truth. Don’t let tradition get in the way of truth. A must-read for the serious Bible student. - Ron Matsen, CEO of Koinonia House & Koinonia Institute Where was the world’s most infamous murder committed? Using eyewitness testimony of the gospels and the discovery of some ancient tombs just east of Jerusalem, Bob Cornuke’s Golgotha makes a captivating case that Jesus didn’t die where tradition tells us he did. Uh, oh. Some people steeped in tradition won’t like this. But you will. - Dr. Frank Turek, President of CrossExamined.org

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In An Aesthetic Occupation Daniel Bertrand Monk unearths the history of the unquestioned political immediacy of “sacred” architecture in the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis. Monk combines groundbreaking archival research with theoretical insights to examine in particular the Mandate era—the period in the first half of the twentieth century when Britain held sovereignty over Palestine. While examining the relation between monuments and mass violence in this context, he documents Palestinian, Zionist, and British attempts to advance competing arguments concerning architecture’s utility to politics. Succumbing neither to the view that monuments are autonomous figures onto which political meaning has been projected, nor to the obverse claim that in Jerusalem shrines are immediate manifestations of the political, Monk traces the reciprocal history of both these positions as well as describes how opponents in the conflict debated and theorized their own participation in its self-representation. Analyzing controversies over the authenticity of holy sites, the restorations of the Dome of the Rock, and the discourse of accusation following the Buraq, or Wailing Wall, riots of 1929, Monk discloses for the first time that, as combatants looked to architecture and invoked the transparency of their own historical situation, they simultaneously advanced—and normalized—the conflict’s inability to account for itself. This balanced and unique study will appeal to anyone interested in Israel or Zionism, the Palestinians, the Middle East conflict, Jerusalem, or its monuments. Scholars of architecture, political theory, and religion, as well as cultural and critical studies will also be informed by its arguments.
