Book Synopsis Fifty Puritan Ancestors, 1628-1660 by : Elizabeth Todd Nash
Download or read book Fifty Puritan Ancestors, 1628-1660 written by Elizabeth Todd Nash and published by . This book was released on 1988* with total page 171 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The author was born in Madison, Connecticut, which was settled about 1650 by English Puritans, among whom were her father's Nash immigrant ancestors and her mother's Wilcox immigrant ancestors. These Nash and Wilcox families were related to all of the fifty Puritan families whose genealogy is contained in this book, but the lineages are not traced herein among the fifty families. Thomas Nash (d.1658) married Margery Baker, and immigrated to 1637 from England to Boston, Massa- chusetts, moving in 1639 to New Haven, Connecticut. John Willcocks Sr. (d.1651) and his family immigrated in 1636 from England to Hart- ford, Connecticut; descendants chiefly spelled the surname Wilcox. For many of these fifty Puritan families, substantial ancestry is shown in England, France and elsewhere. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York and elsewhere.
