Through his teaching, he shaped the young Chandragupta Maurya to become one of the greatest rulers of India by leading him from mediocrity to excellence. By practising his educational philosophy, even an ordinary student can move forward on the path of extraordinary progress. Chanakya put it aptly, “We are always learning in life, and from that standpoint, we are all students. Only education gives the right direction to a person’s life. Only a valuable education can help create a good future. If a student deviates from his path during his student life, his entire life can be severely affected.” Chanakya has shared many secrets of success for the students in his work on ethics—Chanakya Neeti. According to him, to become successful in life, one must follow certain rules. People cannot taste success if they ignore these rules. Chanakya has mentioned some of these special rules for the students in Chanakya Neeti. This book provides a detailed description of Chanakya’s educational philosophy so that students can experience all round development by understanding his educational messages in detail.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is it time to get rid of religion? Not so fast, says Ryan Ahlgrim. It's time for us to define and demand healthy faith. Despite the dysfunction and divisiveness seen too often in religion, we continue to need a community of love, and we yearn for a transcendent encounter that can heal us. So instead of abandoning religion, Ahlgrim outlines twelve characteristics of a healthy religious community, and describes what a healthy Christian community of faith believes and practices. Along the way he reveals the power of story, the genius of Jesus, and the path to wholeness. In the end we are faced with the most daring and fulfilling choice of all: to embrace a community of love that trusts in God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In today's hyperconnected world, human consciousness remains hijacked by the made-up frameworks—social, commercial, political, and religious. As a result, our living experience is driven, designed, and defined by a cosmetic self, always busy in responding to the demands of this world culture. In this way, the entire journey of life shrinks into a resume of material achievements at the cost of bypassing the existential experiences which are deeply meaningful and life-enriching. Mostly, the efforts to look beyond the web of routine life are academic, abstract, and off the real ground. Therefore, ordinarily, we deprioritize exploring our existential connection, thinking that either they are non-valuable or non-achievable. Ultimately, looking inward to realize our existential consciousness becomes a luxury of philosophers or monks; and does not get appreciation in the mainstream, among masses. The Book, O Beloved- Being, Becoming, and Beyond offers a crisp and clear approach for a surgical self-exploration at an ordinary level for masses to uncover the pure field of consciousness, which was always available to us, but forgotten. This book is an open invitation to all who desire to access the pure Being beyond the constructs of the made-up mind and identity. As a brush, it will gently scrub out the dust of designed belief systems, limiting your mind. The purpose is not to reform you into something extraordinary like a superhuman, psychic, enlightened person or an intellectual, etc. but to restore your Being into its inmost natural and existential state while living in day to day reality. It is achieved by offering solid perspectives and gentle practices to deepen the awareness of your Being and Becoming. Thereupon, as a catalyst, this very insight brings about a change in you to outgrow your accumulated limitations; and allows you to access the field of pure consciousness flowing within yet unbound. The book is organized into four sections. The first three sections are full of poetry, philosophy, vivid imagery, and excellent illustrations to keep up the interest and gently unlock the mental knots. Thereupon, the fourth section presents a mindfulness meditation technique, organized into four simple, yet profound steps: Knowing, Establishing, Living, and Moving Beyond. It enables you with practical tools to go beyond the objective experiences made up of—thoughts, feelings, sensations, and sense of self, into subjective awareness. This insight into unconditional awareness is the source of intrinsic and acausal joy, which, sadly, our mind invents outside, out of ignorance. Finally, the last cherry on the cake is the conclusion chapter, which indicates that there is no finality but continuity. So, one must keep going on and on. This book will transform you quickly if you consume it slowly!

It seeks to inspire mankind to rise above the extremes of joy and sorrow and strive to attain a unique kind of happiness, which is true and everlasting. Eternal Wisdom aims at providing a practical and daily insight to the seeker as well guiding him as to how to achieve success in both, his worldly and spiritual life. The valuable teachings of the ancient scriptural texts have been assimilated and presented in a manner to provide hands-on knowledge and empirical wisdom for the present-day spiritual seeker.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Thousands if not millions of people have heard the term “servant leadership,” introduced by Robert K. Greenleaf in his landmark essay The Servant as Leader, published in 1970. There are now Centers for Servant Leadership in ten countries and counting. His work is regularly cited by some of the most prominent business writers and leaders in the world, such as Ken Blanchard, Stephen Covey, Peter Senge, Margaret Wheatley, and Peter Block. And yet until now there has been no biography of the man who first developed this revolutionary idea. Don Frick was given unfettered access to all of Greenleaf’s papers and correspondence. The result is a fascinating book that details the sources of Greenleaf’s thought, describes his friendships with dozens of well-known people, and shows how he influenced business history well before his first book was published at the age of 73, and lived his own life as a servant leader. As Director of Management Research at AT&T for 38 years, Greenleaf was known as “AT&T’s Kept Revolutionary.” Among other unusual initiatives, he oversaw a novel program which taught executive decision making through great literature, established the first corporate assessment center using knowledge gleaned from the OSS’s approach to training civilian spies during World War II, and invited leading philosophers and theologians to have conversations with AT&T executives. After a period of soul searching and some surprising experiments in consciousness, Greenleaf retired from AT&T and began to develop the concept of servant leadership, the then-heretical notion that leaders lead best by serving their followers rather than “commanding” them. He continued to promote the idea through teaching, writing, and consulting until his last years, and was instrumental in creating a score of important organizations such as The Center for Creative Leadership and Yokefellow Institute. Always, Greenleaf was a seeker opening himself up to novel experiences and astonishing people. He was a complex person—an introvert who served in public roles, a wise person who refused to give others “The Answer,” a brilliant thinker who often declared, “I am not a scholar.” His grave carries the epitaph he wrote for himself: “Potentially a good plumber; ruined by a sophisticated education.”

Book excerpt: To all the diamonds in the rough in this world, I dedicate this book. Shine on and sparkle in your own unique way. Dont run with the crowd or feel the need to blend. Just be you! Its not always the ones with the glam and glitter who try to outshine everyone else but the silent, the subdued, the peaceful ones comfortable in their own skin who are the true diamonds in the rough. My first poem, Diamonds in the Rough, is all about finding out your true grit. To quote a few lines from my poem, Youre the gems that dont glitter, / youre the gems that dont shine. / One day youll be discovered hidden in the mine.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Providing real-life examples on how to live in a fruitful partnership with crystal energy, this how-to guide fully explains the power of crystals and how they can be utilized. Crystals magnify the highest energy within, and both the newly spiritually aware and the seasoned crystal worker can gain insight and focus into their lives when combining this energy with the suggested positive affirmations to elicit forces of attraction and confidence. The book also taps into ancient and medieval cosmology to explain how crystals interact with the four elemental substances thought to constitute the physical universe: earth, fire, water, and air. By applying the wealth of information and experiences the manual has to offer, anything that can be visualized can also be fulfilled, whether extending the journey of the soul or wishing to improving surrounding circumstances, such as relationships, health, well-being, and career.
