After all, the ideology and structure of Oswald Mosley’s fascist party was so eerily similar to that of Emmeline Pankhurst’s Women’s Social and Political Union. In this book, Simon Webb explores the real world of the suffragettes and the woman they idolized as 'the Leader', discovering that the movement indeed foreshadowed the rise of fascism during the 1930s.
