Book excerpt: Les alliages base nickel 690 sont sensibles à la fissuration à chaud de solidification lors du soudage des générateurs de vapeur. Les criques à chaud sont dues à la formation de films de liquide résiduels et de phases secondaires jusqu'à de basses températures. L'étude propose d'établir un lien entre thermodynamique, solidification et fissuration à chaud. Les chemins de solidification d'alliages de haute pureté (teneurs variables en NB°ET Si° obtenus en solidification dirigée avec trempe et en soudage sont étudiés et comparés par des calculs thermodynamiques, en supposant l'absence de diffusion dans le solide. En solidification dirigée, une bonne concordance entre chemins calculés et expérimentaux dans le liquide trempé est constatée. Une diffusion à l'état solide de Nb agit sur les bras secondaires de dendrites. L'effet combiné de la ségrégation aux pointes de dendrites et surtout de la diffusion dans le solide modifie la microségrégation de la région brute de solidification et s'écarte du chemin calculé. En soudage, les chemins de solidification sont semblables à ceux de la phase resolidifiée en solidification dirigée. La diffusion de Nb dans le solide apparaît négligeable mais le degré de surfusion assez élevé compense l'effet de diffusion dans le solide en solidification dirigée. L'évolution de la fraction liquide dans les dernières étapes de la solidification est en accord avec le classement des alliages simplifiés selon leur sensibilité à fissuration à chaud. Nb tend à favoriser la formation de films de liquide et de phases de type eutectique à base température.
