Book excerpt: "Fear not, for I am the Lord God Almighty Who created all things − whether they are spiritual, physical, or what; whether they are in the heavens, on the earth, or beneath the earth; whether they are thrones, dominions, or powers; I am omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent." This is the Word of God to any child of His. Why would the child and property of the Maker of all things, Who is above all, be afraid of anything? Many times we are tempted to be afraid because of the conditions, situations, and circumstances that we may see near and around us; but God is greater than anything that we may come into contact with. If God is for us, who can be against us? My brothers and my sisters, fear not; and do not fear any being or thing!

This book was released on 1998 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: After serving a tour as an infantryman in Vietnam (1969-1970), Tim O'Brien returned to the United States and began a career as a writer. He has since published six books and numerous short stories and has distinguished himself as an accomplished author in the process. Three of his books, If I Die in a Combat Zone (1973), Going After Cacciato (1978), and The Things They Carried (1990), deal specifically with the Vietnam war. In these works O'Brien clearly establishes fear as both a dominant aspect of the experience and an essential component necessary for the display of courage, one of his most significant considerations. He portrays bravery as an individual's ability to perform acts and make decisions despite apprehension, and he reveals the difficulty of demonstrating fortitude in the morally ambiguous environment of Vietnam where the horror of death was often secondary to that of cowardice. Ultimately, however, although the arena of armed combat provides a unique setting in which to display human conduct and consciousness, the link between courage and fear that O'Brien illustrates is not a war issue but rather a universal one. The strength of his writing lies in his ability to depict this intricate relationship in a manner that is relevant to humanity as a whole. furthermore, his vivid presentation of the Vietnam conflict, without anti-war protest or political agenda, makes its own case for the prevention of a similar sacrifice of human lives and innocence in the future.

Book excerpt: Afraid? Who? Me? Of What?! No way! Maybe that’s what you sound like to others today, maybe even to yourself. But when the doors are all shut, the noise and voices around dimmed, and you have to face life without the decorations, there’s no denying the struggle with the doubts, the pain and the fear. God speaks into that innermost place of your heart as clearly today as He has done from the beginning of creation. ‘Fear Not!’ He says. As you walk through the events from the Bible and through the life experiences of the author and many well-known missionaries, be prepared to be thrown off guard at what can happen to your deepest darkest fears when you let God take hold of your hand. Are you sure? the sceptical mind may ask. Well, find out with Fear Not!

Book excerpt: A world famous thinker, author, lecturer, and activist, whose diverse, acclaimed and immensely popular body of work covers such subjects as religion, relationships, and bravery, Boteach now turns his attention to America's present state of mind and comes to the conclusion that fear is crippling society with unprecedented force. The only way to escape this climate is to learn what fear is and how to overcome it. He tackles fear headlong and answers the following questions: What is fear? What is it doing to us? Why is it affecting us now more than ever before? How can we be so powerful a society yet so succeptible to fear? How can we conquer it? Why do we need to conquer it? Face Your Fear is a book so relevant that it has a chance to be absorbed by society's consciousness and to change the way we think.
