Book Synopsis Footprints of the Lord by : Uchenna Mezue
Download or read book Footprints of the Lord written by Uchenna Mezue and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2004 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is very little to say in the way of introduction to this work except that the thoughts expressed are not original. They derive from the accumulated knowledge received by humanity from the Love of God and which is freely available to all in many forms. I have drawn from the sacred literature of the three major revealed religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam, but significantly I have drawn freely from the work '"In the Light of Truth" the Grail Message' by Abd-ru-shin. I also acknowledge the influence of all other works that lead to the One true God and the many thoughts and words of fellow human beings who have travelled the same path, whether these were never expressed or were eloquently expressed in writing or verbally. Since the work is so intimately associated with the guidance we have received from our God, I have not always paraphrased or referred to the specific source. This is most marked with the Grail Message the reading of which has influenced and changed my life completely. It may suffice to say that in its comprehensiveness, the Grail Message moves through the whole of this work. I have also not always quoted specific references from the Bible but as the title suggests the New Testament especially is a primary source. In spite of this or perhaps because of it, it must be emphasized that the contents of this book is limited by and within my understanding. The Truth stands above everything, and knowledge about our Creator is infinitely profound. No single human being can claim full understanding or even enough understanding to lead others unless he is especially called to that mission. I therefore offer this only as an encouragement to others to seek more diligently, to look more closely at our heritage as Christians and as human beings and to remain open to the work of the Spirit of Truth.

Download or read book The Footprints of God written by Stephen D. Benin and published by State University of New York Press. This book was released on 2012-02-01 with total page 351 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book traces one exegetical, interpretative principal, divine accommodation, in Jewish and Christian thought from the first to the nineteenth century. The focus is upon major figures and the place of accommodation in their work. Divine accommodation, the idea that divine revelation had to be attuned to the human condition, is a vital interpretive device in the history of both Judaism and Christianity. Accommodation is present not only in the language, style, and tone of Scripture but in all of human history. This is the first systematic study of the concept of accommodation, and shows how both religions employed the same interpretative tool for different purposes and to different ends.

Book Synopsis Echoes of the Shema and Our Father's Footprints by : Morris A. Inch
Download or read book Echoes of the Shema and Our Father's Footprints written by Morris A. Inch and published by University Press of America. This book was released on 2012-06-15 with total page 221 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume contains two closely related studies: Echoes of the Shema and Our Father’s Footprints. The term Shema is derived from the initial word to hear in the Old Testament: “Hear O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one” (Deut. 6:4). Hence, God is deserving of ardent adoration and unqualified commitment. Morris A. Inch discusses God as Spirit, Light, and Love and also touches on divine holiness, grace, and compassion. The second study picks up with Jesus’ allusion to God as our Father (Matt. 6:9). While this reference is primarily related to his authority, Jesus pointedly ties in his benevolent character. In this regard, he exclaims: “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father give good gifts to those who ask him!” (Matt. 7:11). This quotation invites us to reflect on such associated themes as God’s faithfulness, generosity, resolve, forgiveness, and creativity. Echoes of the Shema and Our Father’s Footprints will be a useful text for those interested in exploring the inviting realm of biblical theology.

This book was released on 2024-02-12 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Following God's footsteps and the mystery of God's will in Christian life and walk can be a daunting task. Multitudes of voices, life choices, and sociocultural options and challenges make it hard for one to perceive and understand clearly when God is truly speaking and what does His message entails. Thus, like Abraham, it may require an absolute departure from the habitual way of life to a far-out city, country, or region where God can start with us anew. Also, we must be willing to surrender our will to God's will and follow in His footstep wherever He may lead in daily life. Now that requires self-sacrifice and applied humility--a practical death to self. At times it's about listening to God's voice through a moral, spiritual, or ministerial decision. Other times it's just about family life crises, or it can be regarding political or social issues. God's will happens when we commit to listen to His word and apply it to practical life effortlessly for His sake. This author lived through it all and acknowledges that God's will is about following in His footsteps in every area of life--however mysterious or difficult it may appear. God's purpose for our lives' journey is already set in heaven--surrendering to His purpose will lead to a very content, satisfying, and joyful life regardless the challenges we experience throughout our lifetime. This autobiography will challenge you to begin exploring God's footsteps in different facets of your own life and intentionally pursue His mysterious plan.

As fullness is reached, we deepen the impression! He laid the path before us. His footprint lies deep in His Word and is already impressed on our souls. Melanie Krause invites us in Footprint from God to read and reflect. Her hope is that these seventy-three days allow us to deepen the impression one day at a time and experience the relationship that God has called us to through Scripture.
