Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The term "foo fighter" was used by Allied aircraft pilots during World War II to describe various UFOs or mysterious aerial phenomena seen in the skies over both the European and Pacific theaters of operations. Though "foo fighter" initially described a type of UFO reported and named by the U.S. 415th Night Fighter Squadron, the term was also commonly used to mean any UFO sighting from that period. Pilots provided detail descriptions of these orbs. According to them, these objects were variously described as fiery, and glowing red, white, or orange. Some pilots described them as resembling Christmas-tree lights and reported that they seemed to toy with the aircraft, making wild turns before simply vanishing. Pilots and aircrew reported that the objects flew formation with their aircraft and behaved as if they were under intelligent control, but never displayed hostile behavior. However, they could not be outmaneuvered or shot down. At that time, blaming Nazi Germany responsible for the flying glowing orbs wasn't too far-fetched. For one thing, the sightings took place over Nazi-occupied Europe, at a time when Germany's Luftwaffe was making tremendous strides. However, the sightings stopped once the German army was defeated....at least momentarily. Saucerian Publisher was founded with the mission of promoting books in Ufology, Paranormal, and the Occult. Our vision is to preserve the legacy of literary history by reprint editions of books which have already been exhausted or are difficult to obtain. Our goal is to help readers, educators and researchers by bringing back original publications that are difficult to find at reasonable price, while preserving the legacy of universal knowledge. This book is an authentic reproduction of the original articles printed text in shades of gray. Many times the newspaper articles repeat the same news. Therefore, we have included only one as a sample. IMPORTANT, despite the fact that we have attempted to accurately maintain the integrity of the original work, the present reproduction has missing and blurred pages, poor pictures from the original scanned copy. Many of the original pages are shadowy, and faint. ILLEGIBLE PAGES HAVE A NOTE. Because this material is culturally important, we have made available as part of our commitment to protect, preserve and promote knowledge in the world. This edition is a collection of articles material, an anthology of newspaper articles on "Foo-Fighters" that covered the years: 1942 to 1987. This title has the following parts: 1.Prologue, 2. Introduction; 3. Newspaper article (1942 to 1987)._____Copy and paste the link for our books: https: //saucerianbooks.blogspot.com/ ______

Book excerpt: Asked where he got the ideas for his stories, Stephen King replied, "My mother would read me FATE magazine—which was about the paranormal, flying saucers, and all that stuff. …and I was fascinated." Now you can read The Best of FATE. UFOs and Close Encounters brings you the story of Unidentified Flying Objects through key reports—from the encounter that started it all in 1948 to 21st century sightings worldwide—selected from the magazine's over 700 issues. In this book, Kenneth Arnold, the pilot whose 1949 account launched the modern fascination with flying saucers, shares his story. James A. Harder, professor of engineering at the UC Berkely's metallurgical analysis of UFO remains, he says proves they are of extraterrestrial origin. Cambridge historian Harold T. Wilkins discusses findings from his survey of 1,000 years of UFO sightings. Utah State University professor Frank B. Salisbury, PhD, meditates on whether science alone is adequate to explain their existence. Renowned UFOlogist Jaques Vallee shares possible extradimensional, psychic or spiritual explanations. Geologist Robert M. Schoch, PhD, considers on a connection between UFOs and Lost Civilizations. Many others share authentic personal reports of UFOs seen around the world—and even beneath the seas! You will not find any final answers or solutions—they still don't yet exist, contrary to what some people might tell you. But you will find sensible, clear-headed perspectives on the greatest riddle of our time, as seen by those who know the most about it. And it's a good bet that when the solution is found, it will be due in no small part to the efforts of the individuals whose testimonies you'll find in these pages...and those of the most thought-provoking publication of all time—FATE magazine.

Everyone has heard of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. But what about close encounters of the fatal kind? The field of UFOs is rife with unsettling examples of suspicious deaths. Accounts of accidents that might not have been accidents after all, abound. Researchers and witnesses have vanished, never to be seen again. Conveniently timed heart attacks are reported. Out-of-the-blue suicides that, upon investigation, bear the distinct hallmarks of murder, are all too common. And grisly deaths at the hands of both extraterrestrials and government agents have occurred. Highlights of Close Encounters of the Fatal Kind include: The strange saga of the incredible melting man The UFO-related death of the first U.S. Secretary of Defense, James Forrestal The mysterious disappearances of military pilots and their connection to UFOs The connections between national security and the sudden deaths of UFO investigators Getting too close to the cosmic truth about alien abductions Roswell, and what the government really knows about UFOs can—clearly—be a deadly business The government’s latest admission of the existence of Area 51 is barely the tip of a very big iceberg.

Book excerpt: Television, the movies, and computer games fill the minds of their viewers with a daily staple of fantasy, from tales of UFO landings, haunted houses, and communication with the dead to claims of miraculous cures by gifted healers or breakthrough treatments by means of fringe medicine. The paranormal is so ubiquitous in one form of entertainment or another that many people easily lose sight of the distinction between the real and the imaginary, or they never learn to make the distinction in the first place. In this thorough review of pseudoscience and the paranormal in contemporary life, psychologist Terence Hines teaches readers how to carefully evaluate all such claims in terms of scientific evidence.Hines devotes separate chapters to psychics; life after death; parapsychology; astrology; UFOs; ancient astronauts, cosmic collisions, and the Bermuda Triangle; faith healing; and more. New to this second edition are extended sections on psychoanalysis and pseudopsychologies, especially recovered memory therapy, satanic ritual abuse, facilitated communication, and other questionable psychotherapies. There are also new chapters on alternative medicine, which is now marketed in our drug stores, and on environmental pseudoscience, with special emphasis on the evidence that certain technologies like cell phones or environmental agents like asbestos cause cancer. Finally, Hines discusses the psychological causes for belief in the paranormal despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. This valuable, highly interesting, and completely accessible analysis critiques the whole range of current paranormal claims.

Book excerpt: The first, comprehensive military history of armed confrontations between humans and extraterrestrials • Includes documentation of incidents from World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and the ongoing hostilities in the Middle East • Reveals the U.S. Navy’s defeat in Antarctica by ETs, the shoot-down of “flying saucers” at Roswell, alien sabotage of nuclear weapons, in-flight abductions of USAF and Soviet officers, and photographic evidence of the Battle of Los Angeles • Explains the link between the development of atomic bombs and ballistic missiles and the increase in extraterrestrial intervention in the 20th century Although close encounters with alien space craft are reported as far back as the reign of Pharaoh Thutmosis III in Egypt, it wasn’t until the 20th century that UFO sightings and extraterrestrial encounters were truly documented, due to advances in technology and record-keeping as well as the vast increase in incidents, particularly with military forces. Revealing his extensive research and the verifiable evidence he’s discovered, Frank Joseph presents a comprehensive military history of armed confrontations between humans and extraterrestrials in the 20th and 21st centuries. He explains how, with the development of atomic bombs and ballistic missiles, the frequency of extraterrestrial intervention in human affairs increased dramatically. He documents incidents both famous and little known, including the explosive demolition of U.S. munitions factories in 1916 by unearthly aerial vehicles, the Red Baron’s dogfight with a UFO during World War I, “foo fighter” sightings and battles with Allied and Axis combatants during World War II, and eye-witness reports from encounters during the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War in Iraq, and the ongoing hostilities in the Middle East. He examines the evidence for the shoot-down of “flying saucers” at Roswell and Aztec, New Mexico, alien sabotage of nuclear weapons systems, and in-flight abductions of USAF and Soviet officers and airplanes. He explores the photo evidence for the Battle of Los Angeles, which occurred three months after Pearl Harbor, and the details of Operation Highjump, the U.S. Navy’s defeat in Antarctica by ET forces 17 months after the atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, while also uncovering evidence of secret Antarctic German bases. The author also examines recent, 21st-century examples of alien interdiction in Earthly affairs, such as the meltdown of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant in Japan and the fiery abort of Elon Musk’s Falcon 9 missile launch, both events accompanied by UFOs. Offering complete disclosure of the multitude of ET events over the past century, Frank Joseph gives us the first true reference book in the field of alien military encounters.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ALIEN ABDUCTION OVER A CENTURY AGO? The story was related to a Catholic priest by an elderly man on his deathbed. The man claimed that as a boy he was part of a posse searching for stolen cattle in the mountains south of Tucson, Arizona in 1899, when “a huge, silver bowl in the sky” flew ahead of the posse. The lawman in charge ordered the group to split up. The witness said “a tiny man in silver-colored clothes” confronted him with a hollow tube. The boy drew his revolver and fired six shots into the creature. The little man flickered like a candle flame and disappeared. The boy rejoined the posse, and the lawman set off alone to investigate. About an hour later, the silver bowl rose into the air and took off. When the posse rode to the area where they’d seen the UFO ascend, they found the lawman’s horse, but no sign of the man himself. An Apache tracker with the group said the depth of the animal’s hoofprints showed the man had left the horse at a certain point. However, there were no bootprints at the spot indicating he’d dismounted and proceeded on foot. The posse searched the area for several days, but found no trace of the missing lawman.

Book excerpt: IF YOU THOUGHT THAT THE X-FILES WAS ONLY FICTION, THINK AGAIN! For as long as extraterrestrial and paranormal phenomena have been investigated, the official government response to any events deemed "otherworldly" or unexplainable has been well documented: DENIAL. Not because they aren't interested in UFOs, monsters, and psychic abilities -- but because they have their own secret agendas for using this knowledge. In this thoroughly researched compendium of conspiracies and cover-ups, the remarkable findings that have been documented (and supposedly debunked) by the governments of the United States, Great Britain, and the former Soviet Union are finally revealed, including Attempts by the U.S. Air Force to build a fleet of nuclear-powered flying saucers... The British military's files on the Loch Ness monster and other mysterious beasts... The Cold War race between the CIA and the KGB to create the perfect psychic spy/assassin... The real story behind the enigmatic "Men in Black," who terrify UFO witnesses into silence... For anyone who wants to know the truth -- or the truth behind the truth -- Strange Secrets is the ultimate resource to understanding exactly what the government doesn't want us to know -- and why they want to keep us in the dark.

Sifting through hundreds of historical and government documents, interviewing multitudes of participants, and tracking countless number of leads, a former army officer, trained as an intelligence officer, presents a case for government incompetence and, potentially, malfeasance. Shining a harsh light on the government and its secrets, The Government UFO Files: The Conspiracy of Cover-Up investigates what the government knows about encounters with UFOs, alien life, and mysterious activities. The government has long collected information and assembled files on unidentified objects, extraterrestrial encounters, and strange convergences in the skies, but with new government secrets constantly being revealed (including finally admitting the existence of Area 51) is it too much to believe that it is hiding important information on close encounters, UFOs, and alien life? Nearly 100 sightings and other occurrences are thoroughly examined. Suppressed evidence, hidden plots, cover-ups, misleading statements, and documented connections to government intrigue are all addressed. It sorts through the information, sources, and it lets you decide whether the government is being deliberately misleading or whether the conspiracy theories have gotten out of control.

Book excerpt: UFOs do exist. They are found in Renaissance art, on ancient coins, etched on cave walls—and even reported in the Bible. Even more surprising is where they are documented most: in times of armed conflict.... Accounts of hovering objects, when war is imminent, reach as far back as 312 A.D. when seen by Roman Emperor Constantine I as he led his troops to battle. They supposedly aided George Washington in winning the American Revolution. UFOs were also reported flying over Normandy on D-Day, and were dubbed “foo fighters” by World War II pilots. In Vietnam, an Air Force commander said they were “plagued” by UFOs. Even today, the reports continue to pour in, as noiseless objects are seen darting over the battlegrounds of the Middle East. These sightings, as inconceivable as they may seem, are made by high ranking officials, soldiers and news reporters. Why do these reports spike so drastically during wartime? Could it be mistaken aircraft? Or is someone, or something, looking in on us.... Includes incredible photographs of UFOs

Book excerpt: Mankind had reached a threshold in the forth decade of the twentieth century. There were unprecedented scientific and technological achievements, but despite such progress, humanity was entering one of its darkest chapters. World War II would grip the world with terror for six years. During that time military personnel reported seeing numerous highly unconventional aircraft in all theaters of operation. These objects had extraordinary flight performance capabilities, came in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors, and were able to travel at extraordinary speeds and avoid radar detection. "Strange Company" is the first in-depth account of unconventional aircraft observed and reported by the military during World War II. It includes the reactions by military commands, their viewpoints, and theories as they struggled to make sense of the observations. Strange Company presents one of the greatest wartime mysteries, one that has been shrouded in ignorance for more than sixty years. And it suggests that while an immense twentieth century war was raging on Earth, there appeared to be someone, or something, from somewhere else, watching us.

Book excerpt: The ultimate guide to Project Blue Book by one of the lead astronomers for the US Air Force program to investigate UFO sightings—and featured in History Channel’s Project Blue Book. Originally released in 1977, this new edition by the world's foremost authority on UFOs distills 12,000 sightings and 140,000 pages of Project Blue Book evidence into a coherent explanation. A US Air Force–sponsored UFO-basher for years, Hynek had completely changed his tune by the late 1960s. Whether you believe in little green men or an official government cover-up policy, The Hynek UFO Report is required reading. Have UFOs really been reported by every nation across the globe? Can all the eyewitness reports simply be fantasy? Are we victims of mass hallucination or just plain lies? Have close encounters actually occurred? Is the government concealing deep secrets at a hidden location? The Hynek UFO Report is rational, logical, and realistic. It is for anyone interested in UFOs, the possibility of extraterrestrial life, and the role of the US government in hiding the truth from the public.
