La tipología de los juegos presentados no se centra en la competición, sino en la participación. Cada uno de ellos se presenta en forma de ficha en la que constan las edades, la duración, el material necesario, la disposición inicial, el desarrollo y un breve apartado con observaciones que suelen ser variantes a los juegos. Éstos se presentan clasificados en capítulos que abordan una temática específica: juegos de presentación y conocimiento grupal; juegos de contacto, afirmación, estima y confianza; juegos de percepción y discriminación sensorial; juegos de equilibrio; juegos de expresión corporal; juegos de observación y atención; juegos de organización espacial y temporal; juegos de recreación con paracaídas; juegos de animación; y juegos de distensión y vuelta a la calma.

Juegos, muchos de ellos, con carácter pre-deportivo, que acercan al alumnado a acciones propias de los deportes más habituales o de deportes alternativos, sin que ello suponga la práctica reglada de un deporte federativo.
