Dabei werden die notwendigen Schritte eines Casemanagers und den Möglichkeiten der Gesetzgebung beschrieben. Beratung, ärztliche Betreuung, Integration und Anteilnahme für alte Menschen werden anhand dieser Fallstudie mit wissenschaftlicher Literatur und dem SGB umfassend erläutert bzw. in der Darstellung auch kritisch betrachtet. Folgender Fall wird betrachtet: Die Nachbarn einer vierundsiebzigjährigen Frau (Frau Müller) nehmen Kontakt zum Seniorenbüro auf. Sie teilen mit, dass Frau Müller kaum Außenkontakte zu haben scheint und es wirke, als ob sie vereinsamt. Frau Müller lebe in der Wohnung allein und habe weder Mann noch Kinder. Weiter würde zunehmend ein unangenehmer Geruch aus der Wohnung kommen. Bei einem kurzen Blick in die Wohnung konnte erkannt werden, dass diese zum Teil mit Zeitungen und zum Teil mit Unrat vollgestellt ist. Auch die eigene Körperpflege scheint Frau Müller schwer zu fallen, da sie aufgrund von Arthrose in bestimmten Bewegungsabläufen eingeschränkt ist.

Schlussendlich wird ein Fazit erfolgen.
