Les mots ou phrases écrits et soulignés en bleus sont à cliquer dessus. J'ai eu les cheveux défrisés dès l'âge de 12 ans et bien qu’étant enfant, mes cheveux étaient assez longs. Après le défrisage, mes cheveux ne poussaient plus au niveau SL (longueur des épaules) jusqu'à ce que je découvre la communauté des cheveux afro en ligne en 2007. J'étais tellement excitée par toutes les choses que je lisais sur les techniques, les témoignages, les recettes et d’autres encore me faisaient rêver du rêve de petite fille que j'étais et que j’imaginais la serviette sur ma tête comme étant mes cheveux. Alors un jour, j'ai décidé de commencer à suivre tous les conseils que j'avais recueillis pendant plus de 6 mois. J'ai commencé en Juillet 2007 et en Juillet 2008 mes cheveux étaient justes en dessous de l’APL. Ayant atteint cet objectif et bien contente de mon exploit, j'ai commencé à avoir d'autres idées. J'ai donc continué à lire tout ce qui était disponible en ligne à l'époque. J'ai décidé de laisser mes cheveux naturels, oui, oui, d’avoir les cheveux crépus. Ça a été une décision difficile car je ne savais pas comment m'y prendre, si je devais couper tous mes cheveux ou pas. J'ai toujours eu les cheveux longs et je n'étais pas prête à changer cela, je ne pouvais donc pas m’imaginer aller travailler sans aucuns cheveux sur la tête! Mon dernier défrisage a été en Novembre 2008 et je n’ai jamais changé d’avis depuis. J'ai utilisé beaucoup de produits d’aide à la croissance, certains avec plus de succès que d'autres, beaucoup de techniques et je me suis armée de patience. Nous sommes maintenant en 2014 et mes cheveux sont BSL et beaux. J'ai maintenant 6 ans d'expérience de m’occuper de mes cheveux et à aider les autres pour les leurs. Je blogue depuis 2009 sur divers sujets allant de « Comment entretenir les cheveux des enfants métis» à « Est-il préférable de faire un Big Chop ou une transition » ? A biographical sketch describes his childhood in Senegal, his distinguished academic career in France, and his election as President of Senegal.
