Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In SELF-EVIDENT ASTROLOGY (TM) the planets mean what they are and are what they mean. It is this simple. All we need to understand astrology is to look into the nature of the solar system and sky around us. This book shows that the physical arrangement of the solar system, the orbital positions, the inclinations of orbital planes and things such as the mere size of a planet lead to a natural meaning for each planet. Jeffrey Sayer Close has been an amateur astrologer for 40 years and the Director of the Astrological Bureau of Ideas (www.aboi.com) for the past 12 years. He has a B.A. in physics and a M.A. in telecommunications. He has designed telecommunications network for over 25 corporations and built his own successful telecom software company. He has often been quoted and written about in trade press. He has also made guest appearances on Andrea Klim's "Turn To The Stars" TV show in Manchester, NH. Mr. Close has taken his background in science, his experience in complex networks and long experience in astrology and found new, more basic fundamentals of astrology. These fundamentals have incorporated in his innovative astrological software, INTREPID.

Book excerpt: Evident Astrology is based in the concept of Lal Kitab which is a very rare book in the field of Astrology. Evident Astrology is a simple way to predict about the horoscope of any person or a thing. This is totally based on the nine planets the name is as follows Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, and Rahu & Ketu. Lal Kitab is easy to use and can predict without much more calculations. I am writing this book as per my practice on Lal Kitab in my practice i saw that Lal Kitab predicts by property of Planets who gives different-different effects in houses. Lal Kitab Dose does not consider Sign wise predictions. In houses of the chart the zodiac sign will be considered only Aries in Ascendant, whether your Ascendant is whatever. For example, if a person is born in Sagittarius Ascendant according to Vedic astrology, then his birth chart will be written in Sagittarius first, ie Ascendant, but it will not be so in the Lal Kitab. According to Lal Kitab, the first house in the horoscope means that Aries will be written in Ascendant/Lagna and Sagittarius will be marked in the same order in the fifth house. If we discuss the remedy portion then Lal Kitab does not recommend any Gemstone, Pujan, Jaap, etc. It will suggest only Totke/Upaye to the native. All the remedy of Lal Kitab Should be followed for 40 to 41 days to get Results. We can calculate Varsha Phala of Lal Kitab and read Horoscope. By the help of Dasha and Antardasha of Planets we can calculate Monthly Horoscope of the Native. As we know that Every Planet has decided sight (Drasti) it is also considered in the Lal Kitab Astrology. I wish that who will be read this book get positive effects in his/her life. I say that Lal Kitab is best tool of Astrology science, because Science says "what is now, what is the reason behind". But Astrology says "what will be the result" & "What will be tomorrow". So easily we can understand about the Science and Astrology. To explain the coding of these types of ancient book hard work is required. But I think who have the blessings of God who can explain the coding. At present time Lal Kitab is in trending and many Astrologers are learing and Running livelihood and also predicting. Everybody knows about the universal truth of Death, but before the death everyone want to know about their future. So Astrology is a best way to know future and past and also can get better guidance. Evident Astrology: Easy Predictive Methods.

Book excerpt: Contemporary astrologers claim that their craft is scientifically based and rationally consistent, and above all, that "astrology works" - a belief shared by millions of Americans, including highly visible political and media personalities. As a result, the practice of consulting the stars for advice has never been more popular - or more dangerous. Professional astronomers Roger B. Culver and Philip A. Ianna have produced a highly readable and well-referenced response to the claims of astrologers. This book points out the glaring inconsistencies associated with the basic concepts of "modern" astrology - from the zodiac itself to the fabled "Age of Aquarius." Tracing humanity''s historical fascination with the heavens that produced the celestial "twins" of astronomy and astrology, the authors leave little doubt concerning the difference between astronomical science and astrological art form. Astrology: True or False offers a complete and extensive summary of available evidence on astrology''s basic definitions, concepts, and effectiveness. The authors'' research revealed thousands of predictions gone "bust" - from the start of World War III to claims about the existence of an "anti-Earth" orbiting on the other side of the sun. They studied the famous "twenty-year cycle" of presidential death and disaster, the "moon cycles" of crime and murder in major cities, and the incidences of major personality traits in certain sun signs. Their conclusions, while disappointing to the determined believer in astrology, are nevertheless refreshingly rational.

Book excerpt: Is this the beginning of the Apocalypse? In a riveting archaeological detective story, Adrian Gilbert takes us back -- from the wisdom of the ancients through the secrecy of the early Christian world. Using the same techniques that unlocked the secrets of the Egyptian pyramids in The Orion Mystery, Gilbert penetrates the mysteries of prophecies set forth in the Old and New Testaments. In Signs in the Sky, Gilbert brings his acute understanding of esoteric astrology to his investigations of ancient Egypt, the pyramids, and the Bible. He explains how the constellation Orion, known to the ancients as the primary symbol for " the Son of Man in heaven, " is the key to understanding many of the prophecies contained in the Book of Revelation as well as other books in the Bible. In this startlingly original book, he provides answers to some of the most profound questions of our time such as: Are we now at the end of one of history's great ages? And what does the next one hold in store? Buried within the Old and New Testaments, Gilbert has found what might be the key to our future: the signs in the sky. "From the Trade Paperback edition."

Book excerpt: 'And God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years."' Genesis 1: 14 Astrology, the notion that the stars and planets hold significance for human life, exists in most cultures. It is evident in Stone Age lunar calendars dating back to 30,000 BCE. Today, 90 per cent of Indians consult astrologers about their forthcoming marriages while over 50 per cent of people in the West read their horoscopes in newspapers or magazines. How has this pre-Christian, pre-scientific view of the cosmos survived to the present day and what is its enduring appeal? Astrology's techniques and philosophical foundations are complex and there is no single tradition. Astrology may be seen as science, art, religion, craft or superstition. For most adherents it is either a path to self-understanding or an organizing principle that helps give purpose to an otherwise meaningless world. Nicholas Campion explores astrology's past and present, its claims and appeal, and explains what astrologers really believe.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An in-depth examination of how astrology is a form of systems science • Shares modern biological studies offering evidence that our solar system neighbors profoundly affect and shape life on our planet • Explores the early practice of astrometeorology, revealing the links between the solar system, weather, and climate over large spans of time • Looks at the history, philosophy, and methodologies of astrology, as well as its potential future applications in medicine and the social sciences Our ancient ancestors recorded the rhythms of the Sun, Moon, planets, and stars, correlating these rhythms with weather, plant growth, and animal and human behaviors. From these early geocosmic recordings were born calendars, astronomy, and astrology. While astrology is now mostly viewed as subjective fortune-telling, Bruce Scofield argues that astrology is not only a practice but also a science, specifically a form of systems science--a set of techniques for mapping and analyzing self-organizing systems. Providing clear evidence that our solar system neighbors profoundly affect and shape life on our planet, Scofield shares modern biological and climatological studies on the effects of Earth’s rotation, the Sun, the Moon, and the rhythms of light, gravity, magnetism, and solar radiation on terrestrial processes. He explores the early practice of astrometeorology, a method of weather forecasting used from ancient times into the Renaissance, revealing the links between the solar system, weather, and climate over large spans of time. He shares his own studies on the correlations between Saturn’s position and terrestrial weather as well as presenting a wealth of evidence on astrological effects and the theories and mechanics behind them. Examining the history of astrology, he looks at its earliest foundations in Mesopotamia and its development by the classical Greeks into a mathematically informed body of knowledge. He explores the decline and marginalization of astrology during the Scientific Revolution of the Renaissance and the Enlightenment, when astrology was transformed from a credible science to a controversial practice after being attacked by the Church and then abandoned by experimental scientists. Presenting a broad look at how the cosmic environment shapes nature, the author shows how the practice and natural science of astrology can expand its applications in modern society in such varied fields as medicine, history, and sociology.

Book excerpt: The actual beginnings of astrology are unknown and unknowable. The science emerges already highly refined from the utter obscurity of the pre-historic world. The ends of astrology are also unknown. There is already evidence that the perfection of this science will elevate man to an intellectual and social condition far beyond the limitations of our present consciousness. -from "Astrology's Place in the Modern World" In this concise book, one of the preeminent metaphysicists of the 20th century gives us an extraordinarily informative and entertaining survey of the astrological disciplines and beliefs of the ancient Chinese, Tibetans, HIndus, Greeks, Romans, Aztecs, and Arabians. Then, his discussions of astrology as science, religion, and philosophy bring this paranormal system into the contemporary world, and he explains how, in his estimation, that the heavenly bodies, acting as the "foci of intellectual energy," dramatically sway the course of civilization itself. A classic of supernatural spirituality is a must-read for those fascinated by the influence of paranormal belief in the 20th century. American mystic MANLY PALMER HALL (1901-1990) founded the Philosophical Research Society in 1934. He is also the author of The Lost Keys of Freemasonry, The Ways of the Lonely Ones, and The Secret Teachings of All Ages.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Tracing the roots of astrology from Abraham through the life of Christ and the surrounding Roman Empire, this book provides astonishing evidence that astrology once held an essential position within early Christian beliefs and traditional monotheistic Hebrew culture. Powerful proofs from history and the Bible are examined, and the reasons behind the unfounded defamation of astrology by Roman church authorities are presented, finally legitimatizing astrology for Christians today. Applicable to the seasoned astrologer, yet easy to understand by those with little knowledge of astrology, detailed historical and astrological evidence behind the Star of Bethlehem, the biblical nature of wisdom, and the wise men are explored. Original horoscopes for King David and the eclipse preceding the birth of Jesus are described, with astounding implications for modern understanding. The final messages are clear: God is real. The story of Jesus Christ is real. The manifestation of God's will is real, and nowhere in the Bible is there a condemnation of astrology.
