Book excerpt: Le présent travail a été consacré à la modélisation des équilibres liquide-liquide dans les deux systèmes H3PO4/H2O/Tributylphosphate (TBP) et H3PO4/KCl/H2O/TBP. Pour se faire un travail expérimental a été réalisé pour déterminer les données de partage de l'acide phosphorique dans ces systèmes, en utilisant des méthodes d'analyse appropriées: potentiométrie pour mesurer les concentrations de H3PO4 dans les phases aqueuse et organique, spectroscopie dans le proche infrarouge par Transformée de Fourier pour le dosage de H2O, spectroscopie d'émission atomique à flamme pour déterminer le potassium en phase organique et la méthode de Volhard pour doser les ions chlorures en phase aqueuse. Une approche prédictive basée sur la corrélation, à l'aide de la technique de régression multilinéaire pas à pas, entre le coefficient de partage de H3PO4 et les propriétés de dix solvants organiques parmi les plus utilisés dans la purification de cet acide a été aussi, développé dans le cadre de ce travail. La corrélation de type Kamlet-Taft obtenue a été employée pour prédire le coefficient de partage de H3PO4 PO dans le système H3PO4/H2O/TBP avec une précision de l'ordre de 10%.

La méthode synthétique a été retenue, afin d'obtenir de nouvelles données d'équilibres de phases pour les systèmes binaires impliquant le CO2 et les alcools suivants : 2-undecanol, 6-undecanol, 10-undecen-1-ol et 2-methyl-2,4-pentanediol à trois températures : 313, 323 et 333 K. La seconde partie consiste à effectuer des calculs en utilisant le modèle prédictif PPR78. Cette méthode de contributions de groupes permet d'estimer, en fonction de la température, les paramètres kij pour l'équation de Peng-Robinson publiée en 1978. Pour les corps purs, les paramètres de l'équation cubique sont calculés à partir des paramètres critiques (Tc, Pc) et du facteur acentrique. Pour le calcul des propriétés du mélange, ce modèle fait intervenir une fonction d'excès du type Van Laar.
