Ces dernières, appelées « Libellule », sont dédiées à des applications métrologie impulsionnelle et RADAR dans le domaine temporel. Les deux aériens réalisés équipent le dispositif PULSAR destiné à la détection de mines enfouies. Une seconde étude a été menée dans le but de créer un démonstrateur RADAR optoélectronique. L'objectif est de synchroniser parfaitement quatre antennes d'émission afin de réaliser la sommation des champs rayonnés dans l'axe. Quatre antennes, dérivées de la géométrie « Libellule » ont été conçues et réalisées dans le cadre de cette étude. La dernière partie de ce manuscrit aborde le thème des communications ULB. Deux antennes dédiées à un fonctionnement dans la bande 3.1 - 10.6 GHz sont présentées ; cette dernière étude a abouti à la réalisation d'un prototype qui a été testé et validé.

The last two chapters, which deal with solutions of Maxwell's equations, are at a somewhat higher level. The book opens with a discussion of some fundamental ideas about antennas. It shows how typical measurements can be understood in terms of classical electromagnetic theory: in other words, how to make sense of measured data, how to set up apparatus to get meaningful data, and how to test their significance. Separate chapters follow on the features of frequency independent, plane-sheet, spiral, and log-periodic antennas. Subsequent chapters discuss how the periodic structure theory provides a way of understanding the peculiarities of frequency independent antennas; and solutions of Maxwell's equations for idealized spiral and idealized sinusoidal structures.
