Book Synopsis Pflegeethik. Die Pflege zwischen Dienstleistung und Moral by : Annika Franke
Download or read book Pflegeethik. Die Pflege zwischen Dienstleistung und Moral written by Annika Franke and published by GRIN Verlag. This book was released on 2018-05-31 with total page 23 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book excerpt: Since the 1980s, increasing numbers of hospitals in the United States have formed internal ethics committees to help doctors and other health care professionals deal with complicated ethical questions, especially those regarding the end of a life. But it is only in recent years that German hospitals have followed suit. In Conflicts of Care, Helen Kohlen offers the first comprehensive look at the origin and function of these committees in German hospitals. Book Synopsis Development, Implementation and Evaluation of Curricula in Nursing and Midwifery Education by : Ingrid Darmann-Finck
Download or read book Development, Implementation and Evaluation of Curricula in Nursing and Midwifery Education written by Ingrid Darmann-Finck and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-09-01 with total page 229 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides a review of central contributions from a variety of countries, and is intended to enhance and expand the national professional dialogue on curricula in nursing and midwifery education. All questions of a general nature related to the topic of “curricula” are dealt within the framework of this internationally oriented anthology. Though the contributions may address challenges concerning curriculum work in a specific country, they have been selected and structured to ensure their applicability to other countries. The book’s main goals are to highlight the various phases and aspects of curriculum development and to offer a broad international perspective on the topic. It provides an overview of the international status quo of the theory development and seeks to promote an ongoing international discussion and cooperation in curriculum work in nursing and midwifery education. When there are major changes in nursing and midwifery care, nursing (and midwifery) education has to change, too. Curricula offer an important basis for shaping educational processes at vocational schools and universities. The discussion of nursing and midwifery curricula is currently primarily taking place at the national level. The book shows that the approaches and instruments used in the development, construction, implementation and evaluation of curricula in nursing and midwifery education in different countries relate to very similar theoretical foundations. This finding can be seen as a confirmation of the national approaches. Although the book chiefly focuses on nursing education, examples from midwifery education are also included, so as to foster international and interprofessional cooperation.
Book Synopsis Bioethics, Care and Gender by : Hartmut Remmers
Download or read book Bioethics, Care and Gender written by Hartmut Remmers and published by V&R unipress GmbH. This book was released on 2010 with total page 268 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: English summary: The German development of bioethial discourse in medicine and nursing has reached a highly differentiated stage. The following articles are based on papers presented on an international conference at the University of Osnabruck. Bioethical questions and discussions are brought forward to widen the horizen towards perspectives and research designs that have long been underrepresented. The aim is an intensive interdisciplinarary discussion between different paradigms and specific positions, including standpoints of gender. Despite their potential for sensitisation, there have only been a few works trying to frame ethical issues within an Ethics of Care. In this book the relevance of language, perception and context are highlighted by discussing issues of end-of-life care, prenatal diagnosis, allocation problems as well as ethical conflicts in clinical practice.

Theologians have entered into dialogue with everyone who is in any way preoccupied with the need to improve social order. Thus the insights of all the human and social sciences have been brought to bear in the task of reassessment and restructuring. This book presents a comprehensive scheme of moral theology which is relevant to the moral and intellectual climate of the latter decades of the twentieth century.
