And when the conflict comes to a head, Tami will have to choose between proving himself as a man, and protecting the villagers he's come to love. Available for the first time in English, Enrico Orlandi's exciting tale of adventure and compassion is a timely reflection on identity, responsibility, and the true meaning of maturity. "My intention when I created Tami and the world of Il fiore della strega, was to tell a fantastic story that would capture the reader's imagination and inspire them to lose themselves in the cold forests of the far north, to feel the icy gaze of the spirits and the warmth of the hearths in each tent. Tami's journey, his difficulties and mistakes, are in essence what every child must face as they grow into adulthood. To those who read this book, I would like to say that a girl can go on adventures, that a boy can cry if he needs to, that there is no right way to grow up. You just have to take the time to understand who you want to be." -- Enrico Orlandi

What does this mental health professional mean by “you're a witch?” Unfortunately, everyone but Ella is frothing about her rare magic skills, and soon she becomes the target of nefarious beings. Book Synopsis Astrological Practice of Physick by : Joseph Blagrave
Download or read book Astrological Practice of Physick written by Joseph Blagrave and published by Astrology Classics. This book was released on 2010-02 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Contrary to modern beliefs, the medieval world was not one of superstition and ignorance. True, they lacked what we know as science, but on the other hand, they were in possession of a coherent philosophy of life, handed down to them from the Greeks and Romans, which had been further hammered out in a thousand ways over the course of centuries. When luck was with them (the period was, above all, poor), medieval peoples were surprisingly successful in dealing with the problems of everyday life. With minds open, we come to the medieval world as if it was a strange alien planet. Because their philosophy was different, their observations were different, and, therefore, their solutions were different. Some were good. Some were not. The best of them are worthy of our attention, for they can teach us much. The author, Joseph Blagrave (1610-1682), was a country doctor who lived in Reading, England, in part as he lacked the license that would let him practice openly in London. Fundamentally, he was an astrological herbalist. To this, he brought an eclectic mix of observation, experimentation, folk knowledge, and his own unique genius. Free of modern conceptions, he was able to view and treat the diseases of his day in ways that were revolutionary.
