Fundamentado na contribuição de Bertan (2012) sobre a dimensão antropológico-filosófica, levanto um debate sobre a importância do conhecimento referente à ontologia do caboclo ribeirinho marajoara. Compreendo que sem esse aporte inexiste a possibilidade de uma educação escolar ribeirinha que valorize a identidade cultural dos povos que habitam a Ilha de Marajó. O objetivo desta obra é contribuir para a edificação de novos espaços dialógicos em que todo o processo histórico de formação do caboclo-marajoara e o conhecimento empírico que se manifesta nesse contexto recebam a merecida atenção por parte da educação escolar. Este livro questiona, em suas abordagens, os vários tipos de dominações impostas ao povo da região em questão. Destaco, especialmente, as ideologias presentes na proposta de currículo vigente na escola ribeirinha. Compreendo que a participação coletiva é um princípio que possibilitará a transformação no contexto da educação marajoara.
