Book Synopsis Electrophoretic Deposition (EPD) by : Nathan Bass
Download or read book Electrophoretic Deposition (EPD) written by Nathan Bass and published by . This book was released on 2017 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Electrophoretic deposition (EPD) is attracting many researchers attention nowadays because of its numerous advantages, such as simple deposition apparatus, fast deposition rate, and the ease of deposition with a controlled thickness, compared to the other processing techniques. Chapter One reports the effectiveness of AC-EPD for the deposition and infiltration of various ceramic nanoparticles in an aqueous suspension. In Chapter Two, the authors discuss the functionalization of SnO2 thick films prepared by electrophoretic deposition. Chapter Three concludes that despite being a wet process, EPD offers easy control of the thickness and morphology of a deposited film through simple adjustments to the deposition time and the applied potential.

Book Synopsis Women in Chemistry 2022 by : Anna Maria Maria Papini
Download or read book Women in Chemistry 2022 written by Anna Maria Maria Papini and published by Frontiers Media SA. This book was released on 2023-10-30 with total page 356 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We are delighted to present the 2022 Women in Chemistry article collection. Following the celebration of International Women’s Day 2022, the UNESCO International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Frontiers in Chemistry is proud to offer this platform to promote the work of women scientists, across all branches of Chemistry. At present, less than 30% of researchers worldwide are women. Long-standing biases and gender stereotypes are discouraging girls and women away from science-related fields, and STEM research in particular. Chemistry is no exception to this. Science and gender equality are, however, essential to ensure sustainable development as highlighted by UNESCO. In order to change traditional mindsets, gender equality must be promoted, stereotypes defeated, and girls and women should be encouraged to pursue STEM careers.
