This book was released on 2023-05-11 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. STACEY ALBA SKAR-HAWKINS Birdsong translates a poetic imaginary shared between nature, the human condition, and the cosmos. The luminosity of stars rains under coral reefs to rise in whale song and touch the wings of the divine. Birdsong is immortal, like truth, capable of transforming into angels and constellations to fill black holes in the firmament with roses, sounds, and the colors of impressionist artists. Birdsong reveals the eternal life of dreams, harp music, and the Milky Way. It confronts the word "war" with poetry, sweetly proud and stubborn, capable of recognizing truth in pain and suffering as endless as the punishment of Sisyphus and Prometheus, as the eternal light of the sun. Birdsong is a luminous confession of cruel nature, darkness, and chaos. The poetic voice is born from a magical Nicaraguan mountain. In lamenting the cruelty of forgetting, suffering, and the betrayal of dreams, it has the power to turn horror into beauty in the life of a barefoot sparrow, in a rose that grows from rock. Birdsong inhabits the infinite tree of life, and paradise is reborn in the lavish color of birds, in beauty. STACEY ALBA SKAR-HAWKINS

Book Synopsis Time and Space by : Juan Ramón Jiménez
Download or read book Time and Space written by Juan Ramón Jiménez and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2000 with total page 205 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written while in exile in the United States, Time and Space were originally intended to appear together in a single volume. Not until 1986, however, did they appear so in Spanish and not until 1988 were they published together in English. By presenting them together, Jiménez had wanted them to convey the same continuity of emotion, the same philosophical intensity, that he had experienced while writing them. All My Life, he wrote in his introduction, I have toyed with the idea of writing a continuous poem...with no concrete theme, sustained only by its own surprise, its rhythm, its discoveries, its light, its successive joys; that is, its intrinsic elements, its essence. That continuous poem is Time and Space the last book Jiménez wrote. Presented here in a bilingual edition, Time and Space will take readers of both English and Spanish on the longest and most sustained ride on the crest of poetry they will ever enjoy. The greatest poem in this Century... Octavio Paz Antonio T. de Nicolás, translator and editor of Time and Space is also widely known for his highly acclaimed translation of the Juan Ramón Jiménez classic, Platero and I, as well as many other works in Spanish. His first book of poetry, Remembering the God to Come, is also being published by iUniverse.com.
Book Synopsis Empty Stone | Piedra vac’a by : Felipe Garc’a Garc’a Quintero
Download or read book Empty Stone | Piedra vac’a written by Felipe Garc’a Garc’a Quintero and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2017-12-02 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Subtraction is the word that designates the writing operation that Felipe García Quintero practices in Empty Stone. The operation is difficult because it is performed on the heart of the contemporary poetic problem. It would seem impossible to dive into the difficulty of the action without falling into the melodrama: is there any awareness of what is at stake when one assumes to reflect on writing and poetic language, without any hint of fear, in front of everything that has been said on the subject? Impossibility seemed cold before reading Empty Stone. Now I know its temperature, its warm condition, its simple act of being in favor, not knowing exactly of what. True uncertainty, the very one, inhabits this Empty Stone.

Download or read book Aromas de leyenda de Valle-Inclán written by Soledad Pérez-Abadín Barro and published by Peter Lang. This book was released on 2009 with total page 230 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
