There is no one way that colleges meet accreditation standards. The standards reflect the minimum requirements expected of institutions and each institution must find its own way to best serve the needs of the community and uphold the standards of educational quality. This paper outlines some effective practices colleges should consider and regularly review both in terms of processes and topics as well as in terms of the most recent Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) Standards adopted in 2014.
