L'idée développée dans ce travail est basée sur l'analyse des échanges thermiques entre le moule et le fluide de refroidissement. Une solution technologique qui consiste à placer des inserts dans les conduites est proposée pour réduire le phénomène de couche limite qui s'oppose aux échanges. Les résultats expérimentaux et la simulation numérique des écoulements indiquent un gain de 7% sur le rendement d'absorption thermique. L'étude des effets de 4 paramètres procédé (température et vitesse d'injection, contrepression et temps de refroidissement) sur le matériau (en termes de dureté et de retrait), ainsi que sur la brillance et la rugosité de surface des pièces injectées montrent une influence majeure des deux premiers. Les effets sur le matériau sont en relation avec le taux de cristallinité favorisé par la température, tandis que ceux sur la surface s'expliquent par l'évolution de la viscosité du polymère à l'injection. Il apparaît nécessaire de prendre en considération les différents phénomènes physiques en présence, dans une tentative de modification des paramètres d'injection (notamment la température), dans le but de réduire le temps de cycle.
