Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The study of the "Economic Status of College Alumni" carried out on a uniform basis in 31 universities in 20 States is reported in this bulletin. These institutions are considered representative of universities for the country as a whole. Nearly 50,000 graduates, both men and women; contributed to the study by returning usable questionnaires. Each of the 31 institutions finished the study of its own alumni, and because uniform procedures were used it was possible to consolidate the findings into a single study. The plan used in this study was very simple. Each question, as stated in the questionnaire, was repeated at the head of the corresponding section of the study. The summary of the replies then follows, with any explanation necessary to make clear the meaning of the summary table. The detailed, consolidated table or tables from which the summary is drawn are found in the appendix. Along with the detailed consolidated tables, there is also given in the appendix the complete instructions used by the institutions in interpreting the questionnaires and in compiling their own reports. It is hoped that with the detailed tables and with these instructions, it will be possible for additional institutions to compile data concerning their own alumni and compare them with the 31 institutions cooperating in this study.
