Book excerpt: Excerpt from Dominion, or the Unity and Trinity of the Human Race: With the Divine Political Constitution of the World, and the Divine Rights of Shem, Ham, and Japheth Hamitic service was not made an article of faith by either Noah or Christ, and it cannot be made such now. If the Church now rebels against the State, through belief or unbelief in the political in equality of Hamites, the State is justifiable in sup pressing such rebellion by force, and that, too, without involving the charge of persecution. Book excerpt: Studies of the Curse of Ham, the belief that the Bible consigned blacks to everlasting servitude, confuse and conflate two separate origins stories (etiologies), one of black skin and the other of black slavery. This work unravels the etiologies and shows how the Curse, an etiology of black slavery, evolved from an earlier etiology explaining the existence of dark-skinned people. We see when, where, why, and how an original mythic tale of black origins morphed into a story of the origins of black slavery, and how, in turn, the second then supplanted the first as an explanation for black skin. In the process we see how formulations of the Curse changed over time, depending on the historical and social contexts, reflecting and refashioning the way blackness and blacks were perceived. In particular, two significant developments are uncovered. First, a curse of slavery, originally said to affect various dark-skinned peoples, was eventually applied most commonly to black Africans. Second, blackness, originally incidental to the curse, in time became part of the curse itself. Dark skin now became an intentional marker of servitude, the visible sign of the blacks’ degradation, and in the process deprecating black skin itself.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When God Almighty created the earth, the sea, and all the living creatures, man was the last to be created. And when God created man, he said to him to have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowls of the air, and over all the living things that move upon the earth. In other words, God handed over the earth to the man to be in charge. The man, Adam, understood the authority, and that is why he exercised the authority by naming all the animals. Lion, monkey, elephant, etc. were named by Adam, and the names still stand up till now. The man, Adam, was fully in control of the earth, until he disobeyed God’s order. His disobedience to God’s order made him lose his dominion to the devil. The devil kept man under bondage, and that is why God sent his son, Jesus, to rescue man from the bondage of Satan and restore dominion to man. Christ Jesus, through his death and resurrection, has restored dominion to those who believe in him. So those who believe and accept the grace of God through Jesus Christ our Lord have dominion and authority restored to them. Everyone in Christ Jesus has dominion over the devil and cohorts. The Lord Jesus said to those to believe in him and that in his name, they shall cast out devils. So in this book, you will understand how authority was given man, Adam, and how Adam lost the authority to the devil and how Christ has restored the authority to those that believe in him and how to exercise the authority through the name of Jesus. Do not forget that God has given Jesus a name that is above every other name. That at the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee should bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord.

Book excerpt: What we propose doing in this book, namely, to make a serious attempt to assist some of those who have inhaled the poisonous fumes of infidelity and been left in a state of mental indecision concerning sacred things. Our principal object will be to set forth some of the numerous indications that the Bible is something far superior to any human production, and give some of the rules which require to be heeded if the Scriptures are to be properly interpreted; and though their scope will go beyond the general title of ""Divine revelation,"" yet they will complement and complete the earlier ones.

Book excerpt: Is the Bible the word of God? This classic of atheistic literature has the answer, and it's a loud and profound NO! American writer JOSEPH WHELESS (1868-1950) employs all the tools of the logician, from the self-evidence of reason to the words of the very proponents of the attitudes he strives to dismiss, to condemn Christianity as nonsense. Wheless roundly debunks. . the patriarchs and the covenants of Yahweh . the wonders of the Exodus . the forty years in the wilderness . the "ten commandments" and the "law" . the "conquest" of the promised land . the holy priests and prophets of Yahweh . the "prophecies" of Jesus Christ . the inspired "harmony of the Gospels" . the Christian "plan of salvation" . and more. This is a highly provocative work, one that should be explored by believers and doubters alike. ALSO AVAILABLE FROM COSIMO: Wheless's Forgery in Christianity
