To establish the truth, a legal battle was initiated by the Author in1990 in the District Court of Colombo and after a long hearing the Theologians realizing their vain attempt, arrived at a settlement in 1996 in the Courts and withdrew the Religious Edict(Fatwa). The Spiritual Leader along with his disciples had to encounter baseless criticism, senseless violence and persecution for many years; however, various acts by them to quash the Truth were successfully thwarted by him until his demise in the year 2006.
