Para esto, se hace necesario promover una educación para el consumo sostenible que busque brindar conocimientos, valores y competencias en individuos y grupos sociales para convertirlos en actores de cambio hacia formas de vida más sustentables. Una intervención psicoeducativa para la promoción de comportamientos proambientales fue diseñada y evaluada. Un diseño experimental de medidas repetidas fue implementado con 206 estudiantes de 9o grado de un colegio público de Bogotá. Los estudiantes fueron asignados aleatoriamente a grupos experimental o control. Los resultados mostraron cambios significativos en los patrones de consumo observados (chi-cuadrado = 10.251; gl = 2; p = .006), pero no en los autorreportes de sus comportamientos. Además, se encontraron cambios estadísticamente significativos en actitudes, empatía, expectativas de resultado y conocimientos ambientales. Se discute la relevancia tanto del Aprendizaje Significativo y los Desempeños Auténticos, como de una evaluación multimétodo para el cumplimiento de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible.
